I am making an RPG unlike most... there is no main person, or a story...
Right...
Four Medium SIzed Islands, Nort east, North West, South East, South West... You start on one... you start with a builder... You have to gather materials to build your own camp site, then a village, then a town, then a city, then a castle etc... but you have to also widen your knowledge of tools and materials... every time you create a new structure you get awarded with a new skill / team recruit etc... Certain team memebrs IE a woodsmen (Axemen) will let you cut down tree's... a Spearmen can fish the coast line... etc...
Making and expanding will trigger events... on the other four Islands are 4 very different tribes... they grow at a rate depending on the triggers and switches you activate...
In the centre of the Map will be one large Island... once you build boats you can reach it... on there is a well developed Tribe, but they thought the world was them alone and have never ventured off... you can trade and barter new skills and build plans with them...
The idea is to wipe out all other Islands... and become the ruler....
There will also be quests to uncharted lands (Small islands with BIG monsters)....
Should be kind of hard.... to make... I am in the early stages at the mo...

kind of like Ages of Empires or those kinds of games. Your game sounds interest and hopefully you could pull it off, so good luck with that. Also I agree with halo, your sig is too big. Try to make it alittle bit smaller in length.

sounds great dude, I thought about making a game where you must create your own kingdom, and you do things for money and resources, and eventually you can add on to the kingdom. Like castle villages and towns. You can also eventually wage war against other nations. Actually... I might actually go forth with that old idea... need a team... Maybe I will start it later :wink:

Its coming on well... I have almost finished the first Island... Its getting the players skills to Trigger/switch new events and keep track of what does what... Its extreamly good fun trying to push my RPG making skills...

In the Forest you can swing your axe at tree's should you have a woodman and get wood as a resource, good for making boats...

Once you have the wood take it to a craftsmen and he will give you plans for a boat... take the plans to a builder that wants to build a boat and he will take the plans and make one....

You can't just Sail with out a sailor... So you have to build up a camp site (By collecting skin - leather) and getting plans for a camp site and getting a builder to build it ... (You can only have one type of charactor in your party...4 members all different)

There will be many places to explorer... and the world map will be vast... you will need to learn new languages for some islands... Some Monsters will interact with you and let you pass should you give them some thing !!!

The Maps will have eye candy to them... and look to a reasonable standard... I am not adding much custom stuff like scripts or music... I am keeping it as original as I can... But at the same time trying to make it look good...
