How come in one event I always get a syntax error.
The code is:
<>Script : $game_system.add_shortcut('\c1', '\nm[Arshes]\face
: :[Arshes]\fl\')
: :$game_system.add_shortcut('\c2', '\nm[Basil]\face
: :[Basil]\fr')
: :$game_system.add_shortcut('\c3', '\nm[]\face[]')

Is anything wrong with the event?
Oh, and I'm using Universal Message System (UMS)
Note: The messages are in another language.
Which line is it at? What does the error message say exactly?
The message says = ?????????? SyntaxError ???????????
ANd about the line....what do you mean? If its about the script, then its in the Game_Temp, on the third line. Then one that says
#--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
edit: Funny thing...When I erase the event, it goes normally...weird... ???
Are you using an Advanced Message System? Is there a particular place the event errors or does it just not start?
<>Message: \c1Aduh...Sakit...Tapi nggak apa-apa
Try putting a space between \ci and the rest
I'm using UMS (Universal Message System). When I teleported to an inside of this home, it plays the BGM, show the map but then came a message saying "syntax error"
Oh, and putting a space doesn't help...Sorry, even erasing the event doesn't help...maybe I should make the map again? The map is inside a house...
The problem is either in the event...or the map....
Post the script you are using, that might help.
Never mind...The problem is in the event before I teleported.
