I've searched for this and can't find it anywere. Its a one on one battle, but you can change out your guys mid fight.
So it would be kinda like this:
You start the battle with your fighter out.
He takes a beating and you need healing, but you have no potions in sight
so you can switch out to your healer and heal your party
and switch back to your fighter and finish the battle
any help? ???
So, sort of like the Thousand Arms battle system? (google it if you dont know)
I would think this could be done without a script, unless you wanted it to look different graphically. otherwise, you could make an event that changes your players character in battle, and make a skill that calls that event. ( i THINK. ill have to experiment with it.) Do you need the monsters to be able to use this system as well? Cuz that might be trickier, depending on what youve got in mind..

you could try to find a pokemon battle system, thats kind of like what it sounds like your looking for, or pretty close anyway.
could i use common events for this?
use it as a ... skill to call common event... where the common event lets u choose what you want to switch out to... >.>

That might work if you know the basics about common events. And how to activate it.
Then add them back into your party after the battle.

I was actually working on a one on one battle system. However I haven't been latley due to not being able to figure out how to make only those who took an action gain experience(instead of just the active), and make items and skills affects those who are inactive.
