I have a teleport so that when I have a certain switch on, it teleports you to one map, but otherwise it will teleport you to another. But even when I have the first switch on, it acts like it's not on and teleports you to the wrong map, prohibiting you from completing the game. Please help.
I am using XP, and no, I am not using local switches by mistake.
Check and see if the event trigger is a parrallel event. (Trigger? I havent used XP in a bit so I dont remember exact text).
If it isnt, that is your problem.
Actually, you will want to set it to Auto Start or whatever, then have an event after you want whatever cutscene is going on to shut off the teleport switch.
Thanks a bunch!
I have this problem quite often, however, it's normally because I have conflicting events...especially when i'm having to use the same event to do several things (it cuts down on the amount of events and thus the amount of lag)
That was an patch for Japanese users to fix:
1. As for the original version, if users set a certain number of gold at tab 4 in the conditional branch,(event-new event-insert-tab4), <critical error
C0000005 at address 004A6638> sign appears on the screen and the game finishes. With the new version, users will not have this kind of annoying
<critical error> problem anymore.
2. The window size problem has been fixed. Now there is enough size for the window so that users can see all the actors information.
Not that problem stated.
You know... I get that error sometimes when I try to preview my message with F2 and also with other event commands. but only sometimes. Luckily I am a data-paranoid and save like twice a minute. :=
I save every 20 seconds as if it's a reflex. But that one time little did I know that a bug caused by IBM+my anti-virus program, every once a while saving causes a blue screen that wipes the entire data file.
It made me a very sad panda.
I sense a thread in the Computer section about this... *goes off to post*
