Title: Problem with graphics card?
Post by: darkelementwars on December 26, 2006, 11:57:28 PM
Ok so my laptop has never had any trouble running games before.  Then recently when I try to play Planetside or City of Heroes all the walls are messed up and everything is like blinking.  Is the problem with my graphics card or could it be something else?

Well, try setting things lower, in game. Go to a settings menu for the graphics, and try and lower the quality for textures, skin detail, resolution, color depth...any thing you can. I was having the same problms with Unreal Tournament, it turned out it was because I had the colors set to 32-bit, and the resolution was maxed out.

Start at the lowest possible settings. Then slowly work your way up until you can have the game look as good as possible while still running efficiently.
