Post by: Jesse 015 on January 13, 2006, 04:48:47 AM
it gose like this:

i made a quest where you were givin a letter, but you hav to find the person that gave you the letter, if not then yea, but in half way through the game, you had to give this old man the letter, but the problem is the even if you dont hav the letter you would continue on, and he would say "thanks for the letter", so can any1 help me?

I'm not sure I quite understand the problem, but if I do understand it correctly, do this:

Make a switch that turns on when you deliver the letter, and then later, at the part where he says "Thanks for the letter", make a conditional branch, with the requirements of that switch being on, and if it is, he says "Thanks for the letter", and if it isn't, he says "Donkeys smell bad", or whatever you want.

Erm... I hope that made sense...

meh but switches for items are quite unrealistic

condtional branch, 4th tab, item option will make:

if itemX is possessed then
-change items: - letter
-message: omg supa letter now i can pick my nose
else
-message: go away i am waiting for a letter which you don't even have.. ><
