Title: Just a couple of questions
Post by: SSJ Undertaker on December 16, 2006, 01:15:31 PM
Sorry if these have already been answered, but I need help. I have used RPG Maker for a long time now, and I know most about it, except some stuff. So, help would be greatly appreciated.

1) Is it possible to have a move that does say 250 damage first time it is used, and every time it is used in said battle, it increases by 100, to a limit of 1050, but then resets after the battle? (I assume scripts are used here)

2) How would I set a move that is used by these three bosses: They do the move, only when all three are alive, and add the Max HP of all your party together, before dividing by four, and dishing that damage to the party. Afterwards, the other two guys are forced to do nothing. (Again, I presume scripts are used)

[RESOLVED] 3) Is there any sprites and battlers of a ninja-type character?

For the first one, it can be done without scripts assuming you don't mind it always being set damage not varying based on your strength or whatever.

First, make an event sometime at the begging of the game that will set a variable that you will be using for the attack to whatever you want the default damage to be.  Now make a common event.

(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg178.imageshack.us%2Fimg178%2F9857%2Ftutorialub3.png&hash=44d715acd1b594ae54733a0b9b7547a3c96e4a1f) (http://imageshack.us)

The 2500 can be changed for whatever you want the maximum strength of you attack to be.
The 50 can be changed to however much you want the attack to increase.

Now make an attack with 0 power that will call the event.

Unfortunetly, the only way I can think of making the variable reset at the end of every battle is to put in every monster group an event that will return the variable to the defualt at the end of battle.
