Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga ;)
<3 dotaOld post but, lol. I remember when I tried to play with you. :P
lost my cd key though :(
Where are you in VI? I'm replaying it on GBA just to get the added content, and right now I'm just about to go to the sealed gate. I've been going around and getting the dances and rages though, so it's been a while since I've played any actual storyline. I love that game.Meh, I've been focusing more on V. I made it to Mt. Kolts, but I can't beat the boss there, so I'm just training.

What? That's the easiest boss in the game. Besides Whelk. That doesn't count.

No it's not.
Currently, I'm going back and replaying Xenogears.Such a good decision, man. Now, I know a lot of hardcore Xenogears fans disdain the Xenosagas, but I love them just as much. Those games blew my mind. Though I don't think my mind was ever quite able to cope with the strangeness of some of the elements. Every so often I wake up in the middle of the night and think. . .
Give me. D:EDIT: I wanna play the Fable for PC... ;-;
Yeah, it's pretty good. The save system is atrocious, though. I don't mind check points, but when they're an hour of game play apart...*sigh*
I say OoT. I remember when I was really young, I got to the adult Link stage but never beat the Forest Temple because I was too scared of the wall crawlers. :VOcarina of time, of course
Majora's Mask is better
No it's not.

Crysis is great. People only say it's bland because they're trying to sound like "refined video game connosouirs". The graphics are pretty, yes, but most people don't understand why Crysis is so requirements heavy.
The truth is, Crytek wanted to make the game future-proof, so they decided to make the highest settings nearly impossible to use on this gen's hardware. Truthfully, nobody is supposed to play it on very high, or even high, really. They knew this when they made it. They only included mind-blowing graphics in the game so that in 5 years, when you have new hardware, Crysis isn't just another old game that you have fond memories of playing. You can actually load it up and it looks completely better than you remember it, and it holds up to other games of the next gen.
Never played Majora's Mask, but OoT is fo shizzle a lot of fun. The floor masters scared the hell out of me,too. ;8

I've gotten to the aliens. I've beaten the game. I'm not saying that the game is perfect by any means. I'm just saying that too much of the talk about it has been about the graphics. For all it's faults, I still think it's a better game than people give it credit for.I'm with you on this one. The engine alone is incredible, and it will be the game's biggest legacy. Particle clouds, weather systems, bit-by-bit destructible buildings, light that filters through bullet holes in foliage, trees that aren't invincible(>_<).
Oblivion.
And that's all I need.
I'm playing http://www.2flashgames.com/f/f-Xeno-Tactic-4496.htm

Final Fantasy X-2: Yuna's slumber party dress up
I think you mean Final Fantasy X-2: Greatest Gameplay in the Series.Final Fantasy X-2: Yuna's slumber party dress up
fixed that for you.
F.E.A.R. 2: Was pretty fun, I won't be playing it again too. Considering it uses the same engine as the original, it looks great, and especially SOUNDs great. After a while though it suffered the same as the original, it just gets tedious =( and the scares quickly lose their effect when the game basically tells you it's about to try and scare you.Its good enough for one play, true. And I couldn't agree more about the how they're about to tell you that there's a scary scene coming ahead. It lost its quality comparing it to the first one. :\
Commence large post ~
Crysis: I'd only ever heard about its graphics before, heard it described as a benchmark rather than a game. The first hour or so didn't really interest me much, but once you get into it I'd say it's pretty interesting. It's definitely better than Far Cry imo.
Fallout 3: Awesome ;o; I agree with all the good reviews. I played through it as a nice person the first time. The great thing about f3 is its replay falue, I'm playing through again now as an asshole instead =o My only gripe is that it keeps crashing.

I didn't really like Fallout3 that much. It was kind of hard for me to get into... :/
I liked Oblivion a ton better, though Fallout 3 had a lot of good features in it.
Playing Resident Evil 2 again.
The Godfather II on the PC. Pretty fun game.
TF2
I finished Oblivion! Like, beat every faction quest, and all the DLC, and Shivering Isles (which was AMAZING by the way), and even a few user-created mods like Lost Spires and some Vampire Realism mods. I got to a point where I could kill people by not attacking because I had damage and spell reflect enchantments so powerful that, in combination to various resistance enchantments, no damage would be incurred to me, and most of it would be reflected back to my attacker. I got to the point where turning the difficulty slider up only made battles last an eternity because neither me nor my enemy would take any damage.
Now I can finally be productive and do other things, like eat, and work out, and write music, and sleep!
haha. get Folklore ;_;
I mostly play my old systems, like N64 and SNES. In my opinion, that's when games were good and not focusing on graphics.
So most of my game time is spent on the oldies. ^-^
Chrono Trigger. On the DS.
One thing I've never understood is that Red XIII was the last of his kind, but somehow there are 2 of his kind running? beside him.
I was playing FFVII but now I'm done. :D

What's StarCraft? Is it like Star wars or...halo?That makes me want to cry inside. Also I've started on Starcraft again as well~I love you.
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
(I would be playing Starcraft also if the graphics were not fuxing up. ;9 )
It's called Synthesia, you need a keyboard that can hook up to your computer though, and it's really meant for learning songs but it's basically the same as guitar hero.
Hm...if only I owned it :( :-[
They need to make a Piano Hero/Band for piano lovers :>
You should have started with FF9 :)Lol, I wanted to play them all in order (so far, I have played 1-8 in order, excluding 12), but I'm looking forward to 9.
I just completed everything in FFVI Advance. Full bestiary, all lores, defeated Omega, and completed the Soul Shrine. The only things left to do are finish my rage list and power level to 99 with everyone.
Now I'm deciding whether to start on V Advance, or play through Illusion Of Gaia again.
Oooh! Cool, you must be a awesome player. Like me :}Lol no, awesome player is me, defeating the final boss(es) while 10-20 levels underleveled.

Just finished Okami again with the string of beads, but now I'm not sure what to play next. Torn between a good RPG and an action game. I've yet to play FF9 and FF Tactics (for the PS), but I've really felt like replaying God of War and the Devil May Cry series.

Borderlands
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Vampires + RPG = Awesome.
Are you playing the Japanese La Pucelle Ragnarok?
Chain of Memories is pretty intense for the PS2, but I don't know about the GBA. It's a lot of multi-tasking, while running around on the battlefield and trying not to get hit while choosing which cards you are going to use. I liked it but it's a bit weird -- though Kingdom Hearts can sometimes veer into the metaphysical, it was a bit much for me.I agree, the PS2 version is pretty intense.
I enjoyed the 'recon' aspect of 358/2 probably the most, actually. That, and the little jobs (for example, in the beginning where you do jobs and stuff that doesn't require killing, like making mail runs and hitting the ball with the keyblade). Mostly because the rest of the game required so much combat, it did get heavy at times.
I was a bit disappointed with the story; they could have easily replaced the text in the levels with an actual storyline instead of just commenting on the situation again and again.
Lead and gold: Gangs of the wild west beta :)Me too.
Deus ExThis.
Mind telling me what you think of Monster Hunter Tri when you get it? :)
Disgaea: hour of darknessNice ;8 Though I played Afternoon of Darkness, they're basically the same thing. I love that game.
Golden Sun: Book Two: The Lost Age, Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time.GS is the cool stuffs. I'm so waiting for the third one to come out on the DS. I NEED A DS!
Ahaha I love that game, but I mostly only liked the RPG-style one. P:

LOL DANG. I wanted to play MHFU, but it's kinda lonely playing alone, and I never got XLink Kai to USB to work. ;9
Minecraft 8D I'm doing an LP on it, too. I mainly got bored of SMP with just my friend, and I thought an LP would be cool while I'm doing Single Player anyways. Can't wait for the Halloween update <3Link to the LP.

I'm playing ZHP too; I feel NIS are trying a bit too hard to stay edgy with this but personally I find it pretty enjoyable. It's really easy though... not really something I look for in a roguelike.I like their usual references to other stuff and their non-serious attitude that's also kinda serious. lol. And yeah, it really is easy. But NIS isn't really known for making hard games. They really only make games that require heavy grinding. I mean, still benefiting from dying? I've never played a roguelike before, but in any game, that shouldn't really be the case, lol. I suppose...
Birth by Sleep (Been done with the game for a while, but MF is taking me out back & curb stomping my face)1) If you REALLY want to kill MF and haven't done so even with Ventus, I can give you an easy guide to winning. P: If not, hint: do not use Terra because he sucks, and the whole battle's really just an endurance battle.

Final Fantasy 12
Haters gonna hate.
Hmmm, modern warfare 2, since its wayyyyy better than black ops :PNo, you know nothing about videogames if you seriously think that unbalanced terribad pile of shit is better than anything, the multiplayer is full of cheaters and the game is dominated by something that should be a last resort. whatever is left of Infinity ward needs a serious fucking reality check on this thing called gamebalance.
oh and the reason there something wrong with playing the new ones is because they are shit.Final Fantasy 12
Haters gonna hate.
They're never gonna make anymore that are gonna measure up to 6 and 9 (in my opinion), but i dont see anything wrong with playing the new ones anyway :P
well....speaking of "haters gonna hate" ....theres no need to get so serious, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and anyways, dont act like black ops doesnt have campers and people who know how to use and abuse perks because they do. Personally, i like the weapons and the campaign and multiplayer better in mw2, but black ops has an amazing zombie mode and i love the wager mode. but i forsee that we are just gonna have to agree to disagree:/yeah but at least treyarch thinks about their perks for more than five fucking minutes and ask themselves "how could people abuse this and ruin the online experience" before shipping the fucking game. I seriously can't take anyone who thinks mw2 is good seriously. not only that you'll shrug off my points and assume I'm just hating to hate so what the fuck ever.
okay, how about this: modern warfare 2 is an amazing game for people new to fps's, its fun and easy to pick up, and when theyve got some experience under their belt, then they can move up to black ops. I have noticed that it is harder to play black ops, especially how it actually takes time to master shooting down planes an helicopters, which i boasted as my job in the previous game. The one thing that I didnt like was that i personally thought that the graphics for black ops werent as good, but as you said, it does have a great campaign mode and an online that is harder to abuse.if you're playing a mp game for graphics. you are doing it wrong. and yes. mw2 is babies first fps. it's complete shit.
Final Fantasy 12I've actually wanted to play this one.
Haters gonna hate.
2, 2, 2, 2. Play any non-sequels lately, Holk? :V
Just beat Half-Life for the first time. Playing Half-Life 2 now.
Why didn't I play these games yet? I don't know. ;_;
Should I even bother with Half-Life Opposing Force/Blue Somethingorother?
I played them anyway, lol. They were kind of fun. I'm glad they were short, though.Just beat Half-Life for the first time. Playing Half-Life 2 now.
Why didn't I play these games yet? I don't know. ;_;
Should I even bother with Half-Life Opposing Force/Blue Somethingorother?
No, don't bother with those. The only thing you would get out of playing them is understanding some internet jokes/memes. The games themselves are horrible.
Call of Duty: Black Ops, Call of Duty: MW2, Final Fantasy XII, Final Fantasy 9 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. xD
I LOST MY STARTER lol jks it was a Zizagoon.
DOOOM is awesome. My friend Nick shits a brick everytime something scary happens. The pussy.
How far are you into DQVI? I'm about halfway through, and I really like it. The story is really good, and as always, there are many opportunities for grinding shit.I ... kind of forget. I think I'm about half way through, as well. Honestly, I find the story a bit lacking. Or, like, just almost barely not a bit lacking. Being able to converse with your allies and getting different responses on each map really spices it up, and adds a much, much needed level of character interaction (the the original didn't have at all), but ... I dunno, the story was never really explained to me. I mean, it's interesting, and fun to play, but I'd like someone to throw me a bone already.
I want Brink.
I want Brink.
I have it already pre-loaded for the release. I can't wait :)
I like the characters in Bad Company 2. Sometimes its good to go with stereotypes, and DICE did some great stuff with the characterization. But yeah, I just got home with Brink in hand, so I'll be playing that.No more Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders?! Sheeeyut, get outta my way. I gotta save me some cheerleaders!
Gundam Battle Assault 2hahha yesssss. Burning Gundam FTW.
I liked it, although I didn't have many people to play with ;9Assassins Creed: Revelations is coming out before that. Going to end the whole Ezio/Altair storyline.
Brotherhood's story was a bit repetitive like the first one, but at least it did offer some new cool features.
There's an AC 3 coming out in 2012, yeah?
Just entered the land of distorted gravity.
All 3 on PC - no xbox. How is Fable 3 on PC?
It's what I expected. It's been a while since I've played 2, but the world seems way more open and there seems to be more to explore at each area than in Fable 2. I was disappointed in the lack of content after beating the game, but they've just released some DLC yesterday so I'm playing through that. The DLC is actually worth it. So I'm happy about the game again. Combat is actually pretty fun. The flourishes are FUCKING INTENSE. You get some insane finishing attacks if the enemy is low on life. It'll happen randomly or occasionally when you use a flourish. For instance, I just found this one yesterday, if small hobbe is low on life and goes to attack you with a jumping attack and you're wielding a pistol as a weapon - You'll hold your arm out pointing at it, it jumps at you and swallows your gun, hand and arm. Then you blast it through the asshole across the screen for instant death, lol. Like I said though, that kind of stuff happens randomly but if you've got like 30 enemies on you at 1 time your likely to see 2 or 3 of those special finishers. A lot of the times when you flourish or do those finishers, the game will slow down and zoom in on that action making it feel a bit more intense and also allowing you to watch some of the interesting moves. Different finishers for different enemies and weapons you use.All 3 on PC - no xbox. How is Fable 3 on PC?
I'm playing Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Collectors edition, Master Quest for the Gamecube. Not the DS 3D version. Screw the DS.I have the N64 one. I am superior.
Darkspore.I just got Darkspore. Lets play it mang.
It's good, but it's persistently online and therefore you can't pause, even if you're playing solo. There's a surprising amount of violence for a T-rated game, too. Enemies become torrents of blood and organs upon death.
Skyrim looks great. Those dragon battles...I can't wait for it.
We're already friends. I'm alazz or some variation thereof (e.g. "[something] | alazz").
Does anybody here play Monster Hunter Tri? I'm really excited to play it. It should arrive by tomorrow.
Word. I seriously regret buying that game. We're already friends. I'm alazz or some variation thereof (e.g. "[something] | alazz").My mother plays that shit to death. It gets very fucking old fast without internet play though.
Does anybody here play Monster Hunter Tri? I'm really excited to play it. It should arrive by tomorrow.
Ocarina of Time 3D. It's extremely good.
Eh, I'll just play OoT 3D at the games store. They really don't give a shit what you do as long as you don't steal/break anything.
I still bet it won't live up to my ridiculous expectations. Nothing ever does.
Then it turns out I'm one of those few people incapable of seeing 3D effects. That's a bummer of course, but I play a lot without 3D on and even then it's an amazing game.
I heard the 3D was actually pretty much perfect. Then you heard that correctly, it's... beautiful. You're really getting involved with everything with the 3D on. However, it is VERY 3D, so most of the time I'm playing with the slider half way.
I'm thinking about trading in my DSi...
Ironically, bug types are the best Pokemon in Black and WhiteLOL From trash to best? zzz
hence why the old versions are better :pIn my opinion Black and White are almost as good as Gold and Silver. They did a really great job on it.
MetroidI can't imagine playing that many games at once, especially when they're all in the same series.
Metroid 2
Metroid Zero Mission
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Debating on Other M, need to get Metroid 3, and wondering what I'll play once I'm done with those.
Skyrim & Soul Calibur V. Story in SC5 was alright, was a bit disappointed when some characters didn't show up or some stuff went unanswered. Character customization is really cool, in a sense that you can layer the clothes better and change patterns. Height and specific body sizes now available (ex: can change upper arms, etc) as well as a huge amount of face paint/scars/makeup... even old people marks! More voices & faces available. Stupid thing is, they used mostly the same hair & clothes as SC4. Added a bit. Took away some. Makes me  . But overall, I still like the customization. I just feel like Project Soul is getting so lazy, opposed to that in-depth individual character story thing in SC3.
my only question is, is tower of souls back because tower of souls was garbage. weapon master mode from 2 was the best alternate mode and I feel it was the REAL point to play the game outside of fighting your friends.Absolutely. Weapon master from 2 was amazing. And what'd you mean Skanker that they practically removed Kilik? Favorite character ;.; ;.; ;.; ;.;

And Lizard Man got replaced with Aeon, and they made Astaroth even more cheap.
Misturugi is even better <3, Cervantes is still annoying as fuck, Ezio is pretty awful but you can do tons of damage if you get lucky, Nightmare is just ridiculous, Siegfried sucks now, and they added a bunch of new gimmicky characters who are boring.
OH and Soul of Devil Jin for customizing characters, which is really awesome.
Tales of The Abyss - Neat game so far, but what a lazy port.
Never played it but I hear they're not. They're about 1-3 seconds. The camera rotation is still ridiculously slow, though!
Lazy how? And are the load times as bad as the PS2 version?
Mass Effect 3
Mass Effect 3Yep. It's mostly fine, but those dream sequences are really dumb.
Make sure you put the community patch onto Bloodlines, or else you're playing a broken game.Ho ho it didn't even launch on my system without it!
Beat inFamous (twice) (really great game), and played as much Katamari Forever as I was prepared to.Aco and I need to play infamous 2, we passed the controller back and forth through our playthrough of inFamous it was a lot of fun!
Next on my list: inFamous 2, and Ico/Shadow of Colossus.
we can't manage to push through it on our own and we both want to beat it because FF.
FF13 wasn't very good.

I'm going to change my avatar and signature now.
I'm also at the final boss of FFXIII, but I have no will to continue.
Mother 3 is the best!!Mother 3 is my all time favorite game. I haven't met anyone (who has played it) that doesn't agree that it's the best game ever. Certainly at least one of the best games ever.
I'm playing Lord of the Rings Online...wishing I had the account info for my Guild Wars account and also wish I had some friends who still played that game lol. All of them got sick of the game.
Namkcor and Tony are playing a bit, I still have it if you ever want to play.
Also I've been playing Mount and Blade: Warband lately, well the cRPG multiplayer mod.

We started playing Lord of the Rings Online a while back, but haven't really kept up with it. It was really well-designed for a free-to-play MMO, and we really enjoyed the game for the time we played it. Certainly be willing to start back up on it again if we had anyone to play it with (considering the main reason we left is because we didn't know anybody).
Lately, though, our MMO obsession has been the SWG Pre-CU emulator. We've been playing on Liberator for quite a while now. :)
There's an emulator for SWG before the Combat Upgrade was pushed out, which completely redefined the way the game was played (and made it much worse in the opinion of the majority of players at the time). It's extremely buggy and a number of professions don't work correctly, but it's fun to play regardless. You can find out more about the emulator at the SWGEmu Forums (http://site.swgemu.com/forums/index.php). For the most part, the setup is pretty easy. The Liberator server holds the stable code for players to actually play the game with, while the Test Center holds all of the new code that's being released, so it's a very different game there, and really made more for beta-testing and bug hunting. :)
It's ludicrously nostalgic to go back and play the game, though. SWG used to be an obsession of ours until they pushed out the Combat Upgrade, which just made everything feel too dumbed-down and WoW-ish at the time. Then they released the New Game Enhancements, which just made it all that much worse, and we left. :(
(The graphics are still sub-par, by the way, but the game itself is too much fun for us to care about that. :P)
I'm so upset...yeah previously my tv is also broken due to the fact the cause of it is by my old play station 1 game console..
I'm not playing anything right now. My TV is broken and the sound to my Xbox 360 is not working... I need to get a cable for the only other input in my TV. Also, has anyone heard about how the release of Ico was canceled? I was looking forward to that. ;9
PS3: Dreamy Theater 2
I'm a bit too late for this, but I just started playing Borderlands.
And I need someone to slap me out of this.
I need help.
how many kids are you supporting? o.o
That's that GC card game right? I've been pretty interested in that for a while. Saw it used today but don't recall the price. How is it?
Bought Trauma Center Under The Knife 2 for $11!
Very, very fun. Stumbled upon it, and it was a toss up between Megaman ZX Advent, Lunar Knights, and Chinatown Wars. Good choice, though I think I'll be going back for Lunar Knights sooner or later.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - I've been damn hooked on this for the past week.
I wanted to buy it when it went on sale on Steam because I've always loved Rayman. :(
I heard the same thing, actually. Especially the music.
I heard the same thing, actually. Especially the music. If you like tons of mouth harp, yeah. The game's soundtrack just reminds me of shitty Australian movies though, so I ain't into it.
This from the new game but essentially the same. This may sound wierd because its perfectly in time to the gameplay. IE your actions create the music:I don't think you linked the video you meant to, since that's just still images.
Chrono Trigger for the first time .-.I'd be interested to know if you get anything out of it.
It took me a bit to get into and it kind of annoys me that even though I'm playing on PS3 it takes 10 seconds to go to the menu or start a battle, but I'm really really enjoying it so far. Just got back from the future for the first time and now I'm back in the middle ages.Chrono Trigger for the first time .-.I'd be interested to know if you get anything out of it.
Yeah, man, that PSOne remake was kind of awful. If you aren't too invested in it yet, I'd suggest switching out to a SNES ROM, or the DS version instead. It took me a bit to get into and it kind of annoys me that even though I'm playing on PS3 it takes 10 seconds to go to the menu or start a battle, but I'm really really enjoying it so far. disk load times kill ct for psx same goes for ff6 on the double disk
I reinstalled the Sims 3...I played it for probably 8 consecutive hours last night, till 4 am.
I don't even care for the gameplay, but making families and building houses is addictive as hell.
I reinstalled the Sims 3...I played it for probably 8 consecutive hours last night, till 4 am.Always been the opposite for me. I like making a dude, moving him into a premade house and going through a single career. I hate managing more than one person and I don't like building that much.

I've been playing Guild Wars recently, and a bit of TF2Me too, I am playing minecraft and uberstrike. I forget about xenogear is the best.
Chivalry and Dual of the Planeswalkers 2013Which decks you playin in DOTP homie?
I just now got into Magic so I'm trying everything out. I've been using the very first red deck you get, and the white creature spam deck you get pretty early on too.Chivalry and Dual of the Planeswalkers 2013Which decks you playin in DOTP homie?
Is it fun? They did so many things right this time. They revamped the combat, the colonial characters are actually really awesome, the pacing is great, the naval warfare/missions are fucking rad (I'd buy a standalone game based off the naval combat), the cities/landscape look amazing (especially the Iroquois village), and they did wonders with the free running system. My only gripes are that they let you play as Connor's dad for so long and then switch you over because the former is the best character in the game and Connor is bland and boring. Also the fact that when you finally get the assassin's robes you're so used to looking like a normal person that they look even more out of place, thank god he only wears the hood in the main cities. I'm about 8 hours in and I still don't even feel like I've gotten into the main storyline which is pretty damn cool considering how games as of late have been. Multiplayer is pretty much the same as the last two except they have a game mode with no stupid shit game breaking abilities and it's fantastically well done (yet still a little boring.)
Also the fact that when you finally get the assassin's robes you're so used to looking like a normal person that they look even more out of place, thank god he only wears the hood in the main cities. From what I remember hearing somewhere about the story, the robes represent the assassin's disguise and are kind of a placeholder that the Animus uses to represent the disguise they were wearing. Or something like that. On another note, I still need to finish up Brotherhood and play Revelation and then get AC3 :(

I don't get the point of that game. Like, yeah it's supposed to be scary, but nothing happens when you get the pages. There's no "CONGRATULATIONS" or anything. Slenderman still kills you. It's like they couldn't think of a reasonable plotline for the game to follow, so they just tell you to pick up these pointless pages to give you something to do.
My fps mouse is dying so gotta wait for my new mouse to come. Ordered the CoD-branded Logitech G9x because it's $45. I'd sand the big ugly green MW3 off but that'd probably void my warranty. Not a big deal considering the regular one is still $75 on amazon. Also ordered a Wii Classic Controller PC adapter, which I can't wait for because the 360 d-pad is absolute trash.I've seen that g9x paired with some MW3 keyboard for $65 or so a few times and I've almost bought it every time I've seen it.
Just buy a Dualshock 3 you nutThe DS3 is terrible though.
I love the hell out of the 360 gamepad but there's no doubt Dualshock is the superior controller in almost all instances.
And I don't see the point of that anyway. The only games you'd really need that kind of D-pad for are fighting games, and that's one of the few genres that makes more sense controlled with a keyboard.
I love the hell out of the 360 gamepad but there's no doubt Dualshock is the superior controller in almost all instances. There isn't anything the PS3 controller is best at, so there's no way it's superior in almost all instances. A 360 controller is best for some things, like first person shooters or anything that uses triggers (driving games, mostly) and the CC/P is best for platformers and anything that requires more precise input. It's still not great for fighting games, but it's the best of the three. And playing fighters on a keyboard is pretty shitty. Fine maybe for something like Mortal Kombat or Waku Waku 7, but not for anything complicated really.
And I don't see the point of that anyway. The only games you'd really need that kind of D-pad for are fighting games, and that's one of the few genres that makes more sense controlled with a keyboard.
And platformers I guess, but I haven't had any trouble with Super Meat Boy on the 360 pad.
Well, any MORE trouble, I should say. It's Super Meat Boy after all.
Playing a fighting game with a keyboard feels more like you're mashing buttons at the arcade. If you can manage to hook a joystick next to your keyboard, then you're golden.
How about teasing Zylos
Teasing Zylos is a game
Man, can you remember the days when video game voice acting was absolutely laughable? And nobody seemed to care? I mean, damn. When they were making this game, could they really not TELL how ridiculous the voice acting was? Or how bad the dialog was?
... Was it really that bad? I remember it being fairly good.
Just rage quit BL2 a couple times because what in tarnation is wrong with the fire damage? I had full health, and the fire burn damage took me to death in literally 2 seconds. And it's always some asshole suicide psycho that, of course, is the last enemy within 80 feet of my character. What the pigeon-licking shart am I even supposed to do about that? Holy jebus, it took all of my willpower not to smash my new mouse and keyboard (because I knew it was new) because that nonsense happened to me 3 times in a row. ONE little splash of firedyingDYING2SECONDS-DEAD.Playing by yourself? When I played the game with Skanky, my brother and some stranger who joined us I was having the same problem. The game isn't much fun in co-op when the enemies become the worst fucking bullet sponges ever and you don't take much to kill. In single player I didn't have that problem much but I also didn't get very far into the game. Also the game is shitty in single player so it doesn't matter.
So I alt-F4'd, because to bloody hell with you and your new-u station. I don't even care about avoiding the cash penalty, I just don't want to hear your snarky comments, Hyperion.
edit: I'm starting to notice just how much I swear, so I'm taking measures to clean up my language.
Baldur's Gate on the iPad. Its just as good today as it was when I first played it.
Dragon Age Origins. Late to the party, i know. LOVE this game, BTW...Don't play Dragon Age 2
First steam sale that I didn't buy anything. I'm super busy right now, and with work, a new girlfriend, and meetings all the time, I just don't have gaming time. I might get torchlight 2 just so I have it though. I'd like to play that sometime.yeah i'm pleasantly surprised I only bought castle crashers four pack and awesomenauts three pack for me and some buddies to split. I regret not getting max payne 1 and 2 but I've got a lot of games still unfinished and school starts in a week and a half so I'm not going to break bank for the principle of ownership rather than the enjoyment derived from it.
Don't play Dragon Age 2
Awesomenauts is cool beans. I played it a lot on PS3 (it was free for PS+ people) and then a fair bit during the beta on PC. I bought it day 1 on Steam but never really played it much because I'd already played a ton. Still good tho.Yah Awesomenauts is pretty rad so far. I has a pretty steep curve to it. My brother and I played a couple rounds a few nights back and did not do well at all. I played the free weekend a while back for a few hours straight and got pretty good, but that's all gone now hahah. The one thing I dislike is how long it seems to take to unlock characters, unless I'm doing something wrong.

I got really into it because it was pretty easy to learn, unlike any other DOTA game I've played. And I thought the progression was pretty zippy too, maybe like 3 levels per round and a round taking... not long at all against bots. Back when I played, though, the healer dude was broken as all get-out. He's still good, from what I understand, but not quite as good.

If you're having trouble you might just be playing some of the trickier characters. I remember the cowboy and the frog being a bit tricky and the big robot and healer being pretty simple. The monkey with the jetpack was ass for ages and then incredibly overpowered for about a week and then back to ass, from what I remember. The stealth Lizard dude has always been not too difficult to play and overpowered once you learn him, I think (not sure if he's been fixed, they kept trying to change him with every update). I haven't played a lot of the new characters.
Fire Emblem: Awakening

Fire Emblem: Awakening
Yeah, Fire Emblem: Awakening is definitely pretty awesome. I'm really enjoying it and the Support system is great. I'm only on chapter 16, but so far I'm really enjoying it.
Lunatic mode is totally ridiculous though. I can't even get past Chapter 3 with that character, even with overusing Frederick. I'm beginning to think I might have to just sacrifice some characters.
Randomly decided to go back and play the original Myst again. I have no idea why, it's so horribly outdated at this point, and yet it feels like it really was well done for its time period.
I still don't know what DOTA is, or even what it stands for. I even have it on Steam, and I'm still incapable of assigning any kind of mental image to the title "DOTA." What does it even look like? It is like WOW? Or like a FFTactics game? Is it gritty, or colorful? I honestly have no goddamn idea.
I recently decided to play through Dragon Age again. My first time through, I played a mage, so I figured I'd go a different route and made a rogue. I'm also trying to be the good guy this time, and I'm kind of surprised how much of an effect your morality has on the ebb and flow of things.
I'm debating on moving on to Dragon Age 2 as soon as I finish Origins, or playing through the DLC - Awakening included.
Paper Mario Sticker Star is kind of fun, and the dialogue is great, but it got boring for me pretty fast when I realized there is no incentive to do battles, other than getting coins, but you get plenty of coins outside of battle anyway which renders it pointless. Apparently the developers had a lot of restrictions placed on them, which is unfortunate because it could have been a lot better than it is.

Got to 100% completion in tomb raider, found all secrets, did all challenges etc. That game is brilliant.
I want more :( I think I'll re-play it lol.
I decided to revisit an old evil that has haunted me since childhood... (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hM20M2px3g)
Also been playing Candy Box. (http://candies.aniwey.net/) You'll thank me later.
FFVII, never gave that game the time of day since it was way too popular, but it's going well so far.
penetrated Ultimecia again

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
If any of you nigs have itwe should play togther ;]
Been playing Remember Me with Anski ;o
Not a co-op game, just we're both playing it. I quite like it so far - my main gripe is the combat.
It's also god damn gorgeous: http://imgur.com/a/TMcE3
I actually got a PSN+ account. Got a couple free games. Mostly did it for my girlfriend, because I figured she'd like Little Big Planet Karting. I was right, and I love it, too.
What?Well, how should I ask?
I tried to ask, if there is a monthly fee to pay?
And if yes, how much is the fee and what payment options are accepted?
And if yes, how much is the fee and what payment options are accepted?Well, that was what I wanted to know and yes, I know how to use google, but was kinda to lazy. :P

Last night I played axelay. And I could say it is nearly impossible to finish it completly, I tried so hard on it, but failed in the end every single time. :( (\s/)
FFXIV.I played the beta, and I thought it was amazingly well-polished. I never really got far enough to judge the content that it had to offer later on in the game. :(
They massively improved it holy shit.
Played through Bioshock Infinite for the second time, and genuinely feel that it's one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life.
I don't know why I don't remember beating it the first time. It's like I wasn't paying attention or something. Or maybe I just didn't understand, or try hard enough to wrap my head around it. This time, I damn near cried. Because this time it all made sense, finally. All the random lines from other characters throughout the game, especially in the beginning ("he DOESN'T row"). Even the popular song choices have significance to the story.
Also playing "Mind-Numbing 72 Hour Work Week."
Was playing The Stanley Parable with a group of friends last night, and we were laughing our heads off with how open the game is and how many times it kept changing on us as we played through, making the next person to play go "Wait, what the fuck? That wasn't there before!". My god, the adventure line...
Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies
... in GameStop
I got into the Infinite Crisis beta.
That's the ending the actual game should have had.
Still playing Borderlands 2. Just beat Tiny Tina's DLC. That's the ending the actual game should have had.Hell yeah, this man knows his shit

are you using any mods or anything. sounds like the texture pack can cause crashes in peak 15 for some reason.
TRIPLE post. Just beat the original dragon quest...
TRIPLE post. Just beat the original dragon quest...
I have a copy of it for the NES. I never beat it. :(
The last thing I remember was being told that I needed a key, but not being able to find it. Then my save erased, then my NES died... the end.
TRIPLE post. Just beat the original dragon quest, playing the second now. I can safely state that without emulators and the ability to fast forward through the level grinding by holding down my 360 controller's right trigger, I'd never have played these. Grinding at lightspeed to get an advantage, then finding out that was JUST ENOUGH to get you on par for the next dungeon is...jarring.

Woah. I remember playing that game when it was NEW. Gah.
Games like that, even the original Final Fantasy, were less about content and more about passing time with battle mechanics. I think that's why most of those games had extremely spacious maps and quests that were the equivalent of finding needles in haystacks. If that hook wasn't there to keep you playing, you'd be done in half an hour. Hell, I could get through FF in two days as it was...
Bravely Default is awesome. 10hrs so far. Bosses on Normal are a bit cake though.
Bravely Default is awesome. 10hrs so far. Bosses on Normal are a bit cake though.
Yeah I'm playing on Normal and I only had trouble at one point so far. I haven't played in several days. I thin I've got about 40 hours but I'm only on chapter 4 or something lol. I'm not sure how the time got so high because I haven't been grinding or anything at all. I must have left the 3DS open overnight one day or something.
I still want to punch Agnes in the face most times though.
the quests weren't even really bugged, the spawn timers on like dudes to kill or chests to raid just needs tweaking and is probably already fixed in a more recent client.I can agree with you. The fun was huger, then the frustration about 3 quests that didn't worked. ;)
I really want to get ESO now. I was impressed.
Dark Souls 2 has consumed my life for the last few weeks
WWF No Mercy.
I don't want to go back to WWE2k13, such a classic.
Also MGS3, in mention of Peace WalkerFAAAAATHERRRRR WHY DOES HE GET THE BANDANAAAAA

Maybe I'm just getting old.
Starting up Witcher 2 again. I'm really bad at it, though. It's like there's too many buttons to press, that need to be pressed at the right time, and I can never remember where or what that button is in time.I re-mapped the keyboard/mouse, and now I'm fucking awesome at this game. It's challenging, but a lot of fun, and absolutely STEEPED in lore, and fantastically told history (with exceptional voice acting). My only real complaint is that it seems so stagnant. There's a TON of shit to do each chapter, but each chapter seems to take place in a rather small area. The character interactions, side-quests and scripted events do very, very well to keep it interesting by changing things up a little bit, but you can't ignore the fact that you've really just been traipsing around the same general area for the last 10 hours, even if you do see something new or under a different situation every now and then.
Maybe I'm just getting old.
Just wait until Wild Hunt and the open world. Looks so good.I can't wait. On the other hand, yes I can. I want them to take as long as they need and polish the shit out of that game.
Don't be afraid to skirt around the incoming Rebel fleet. Don't put yourself into fuellessness and extreme danger, but visiting other star systems instead of darting from exit to exit can net you some cool stuff.Yeah, I have a problem of running for the exit, crying the entire way.
A cloaking system and a diverse variety of weapons can get you victory easily.I never have enough scrap, because it always freaks me out to even have a single hull damage. ;9
Having just laser weapons or just missiles is a good way to die at the end.Is that a sign of a bad player? How did you know that's all I had? ;9
Also the Fire Beam is way too good. If you can get one, use it. Fire is always over powered.I got one of those once, then I was boarded by rock people and they killed everybody but my pilot, who was then killed in an asteroid field...
Minecraft. I've only really been playing minecraft for the last few months.
I never have enough scrap, because it always freaks me out to even have a single hull damage. ;9
I'm freaking out man.
Is that a sign of a bad player? How did you know that's all I had? ;9
How're you playing it?
The DS version is more or less considered the definite version from what I can tell, so good on ya.How're you playing it?
DS version. My roommate lent it to me.
I'm actually going to finish Chrono Trigger this time. I promise.
Nor have CD Projekt Red simply padded out The Witcher 3’s Skyrim-exceeding open world with unimaginative busywork. They’ve systematically banished fetch quests from the game—or, at least, as much as a team can when making a high-fantasy RPG. It’s one of the ways the Polish developers are refining their identity through the creation of The Witcher 3, where quest and narrative design is being meticulously worked and reworked right up until release. The philosophy is, if you need to have a fetch quest, make sure the story does a damn good job of hiding it.http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/the-witcher-3-preview-how-to-build-an-rpg-with-36-endings/
“When we do have these situations, which is rarely, we compensate for it with the narrative,” writer Jakub Szamalek explains. “It’ll definitely be an interesting story in itself – you’ll be intrigued by the NPC’s motives, and where this is all leading. Even when you have a simple structure it’s something we’re compensating for in the story.”
The reason for abolishing fetch quests? CD Projekt Red don’t like them much either. “We are trying very hard to limit such interactions of structures to a minimum because we don’t think they’re interesting.” Instead, they want to be radical.
Guess what I'm playing. SKYRIM AGAIN. GREAT.
I've poured over 120 hours in to this game. BUT I'M BACK FOR MORE!

DS1 was fine even if you didn't masturbate about the 2deep lore; the big snake dude tells you to go kill some bosses and become Gwyn's successor to prevent an age of darkness. Ok, swell.
In 2, you start off trying to lift the curse, then you... wander around a forest for some reason, then kill some guys, then... wander around some other areas, then fight some bosses, and then suddenly you're trying to take a throne? And green lady is a robot or something? And there's a queen? And suddenly the queen is a zombie? And then you get locked in a tiny room with a chair?
>you actually have a motivation in DS2
you arguably have a motivation to "seek the king," since that's your only lead to a cure. but by the time you're dream-diving into giant trees so you can unblock a chasm that's gated by soul-golems and seal yourself inside a kiln, you're just woolgathering key collectibles
DaS1 had plenty of keys but you had a coherent objective of succeeding Gwynn that was accomplished in the final boss fight. neshandra has fucking nothing to do with your character's quest for a cure, except being a generic Evil standing between you and the ending cutscene
..OMG, Warframe..
league of legends because i hate myselfPlay Starcraft if you really want to hate yourself. Besides, I thought that people played LoL and DotA to hate on other people!
league of legends because i hate myselfPlay Starcraft if you really want to hate yourself.
that and league of legends
at least with Starcraft a game is pretty much decided in 15 minutes, if you've got even a drop of skill you can put up a good fight and eventually win or lose around the 30 minute mark
with league of legends you're basically fucked in the ass, you get steamrolled and hope everyone on your team isn't a bunch of pouty babies who won't surrender at the 20 minute mark, or you end up fighting hard and someone fucking throws it at 50 minutes in when it's basically down to the wire
in starcraft when you fuck up it's all your fault, not the 13 year old kid in california who spent the first 5 minutes of the game afk because his mom made him fold the laundry

I really don't like roguelikes.you and i have our differences
Yeah it's good.
I wish there were a game just like it, but not "roguelike". I really don't like roguelikes.
I just really like the way the ship is controlled and the managing systems and stuff.
actually this is not a roguelikeI really don't like roguelikes.you and i have our differences

back in my day (the 80s) we had real roguelikes (rogue)
What do you think of Chrono Cross?
I said I would never do it, but never say never they never say ever.Spoiler for Spoilers:
I don't understand all the hysteria and praise for this game. I wouldn't say it's a bad game by any means but I'm seeing a lot of people say it's one of the best games of all time. I mean, a lot of those people are tumblrites, so their opinion is automatically invalid, but still, why is this game revered so highly? It's really not that great and in a month or so people are going to completely forget it exists.i think a lot of the praise for Undertale comes from the circumstance. if Undertale was released in the mid-90s, as a contemporary of its ultimate inspiration of Earthbound, it would probably just be considered a solid game with a compelling cast of quirky characters, and it would get some praise for the way combat is handled.

but it wasn't released in 1994, it was released in 2015, in a time when so many of the most successful games have so little meaning or charm to them; in the day when the first-person-shooter and the third-person-action-(sandbox)-extravaganza reign supreme. we are just now coming out of a period of mass-produced spunk-gargle-wee-wee, and Undertale is a reminder of the nuance that can be achieved in the medium of video games.
Undertale doesn't have the best story, or the best mechanics, or (quite obviously) the best graphics. few games manage to have all of these things. but Undertale is remarkable for its charm - it oozes character from every orifice. i doubt it will be shortly forgotten, but i do agree that it is not one of the best games ever. it will live on as a proud homage to the Mother franchise, and a charmingly intricate and compassionate game, but in twenty years we'll still be talking about Earthbound - i'm not so sure about Undertale.
i dunno though, that's just me. i'm not a tumblrette though so my opinion at least has base validity.
Undertale is a cheap imitation of Earthbound.
I get why it's liked, I don't get why it's loved so fervently. It just seems like another indie flavor-of-the-month-or-two game. But yes, your opinion has validity. I'm not saying anyone who thinks it's great is automatically wrong, I just don't understand.don't worry, it's probably just because you're a sour old man who doesn't get what all the kids these days are on about
Metal gear was supposed to be the best Story driven game this year. Fallout was supposed to be right behind it. The only one I feel did a good job of being a great game with a great story was The Witcher 3. If you told me last year I'd think a Witcher game would be higher on my list than entries from kojima and bethesda, I'd have asked you to lay off the drugs.
That part of fallout you're describing is still there. using things like terminals and the world around you to paint a picture of this post apocalypse is still there in spades. the environment guys didn't take a day off.Metal gear was supposed to be the best Story driven game this year. Fallout games have never been particularly story-driven. The main character speaks in Fallout 4, but the story isn't really any deeper than it has been in the other entries. Because they're sandboxes, the elegance of the Fallout games (especially Fallout 3 onwards) is that they manage tell hundreds of small stories using very limited exposition. The stories that play out amongst the world's pre-war and post-war inhabitants via small things like terminal entries and holotapes and diaries and object placement are pretty eloquent at times, painting a broad picture with very little. There are so many unmarked, non-quest related stories that you can find in the Fallout games that are really clever, short-stories and I think they more than make up for the lack of a central storyline because they make the world feel very, very alive. The post-Fallout 3 games certainly wouldn't work without them, because they're a large part of what makes exploring the wasteland entertaining and interesting.
But yeah, expecting the game to be story-driven as far as the central plot goes? That's never been the case nor the intention. It's a sandbox, it's much more about world-building than the central plot.
I was trying to play through Xenoblade X, but... Ugh... It just didn't rope me in like Xenoblade Chronicles did.
I want to finish it, but it's taking me waaaaay longer than expected.
*sigh*

We watched Malson's roommate played Xenoblade X and he had several complaints about it (especially with the music and characters)... He stopped playing once he got to a certain point where it was supposed to "get better" and said that it was still awful. o_o
I really wanna play Xenoblade Chronicles though! ;_;
if you recall I played it back then because roph wanted me to stream it, I was so bored that roph stopped watching because I wasn't scared, it's 90% attempts at jump scares.
If it had good puzzles maybe, but the only "puzzle" I ran into before I quit was wander around and find items to be allowed press the use key on a chemistry set for some reason.
I'm playing Dead Siland.
