I am trying to make a pokemon-like game and need some help with how to program pokeballs and storage!
-
Use this:
http://pokemonessentials.wikia.com/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Essentials_Wiki
-
Thanx i cant believe i didnt find that :-[
-
actually, its a bit complicated... :o
-
I've made a Pokemon Game with it, yes it IS complex but its the single best tool for making your own pokemon game. I'm happy to help if you want advice as you go.
-
Thanx, i already have a question, is there a way to make some kind of pokemon generator? I KNOW ITS A STUPID QUESTION
-
As in, an event that gives you a random pokemon, or something else? Explain what you mean a bit better.
-
Yeah, i mean a thing to make pokemon appear at random times in a certain area, and that pokemon would be randomly picked out of a group of chosen pokemon, and, of course, the rarer ones are less likely to appear, like in diamond and pearl
-
Thats all part of the script :) Pokemon will appear in areas you set as tall grass, and you can change what pokemon appear in battle changing the encounters.txt file :)
-
By the way, i use VX
-
i found the tall grass thing, but i forgot where it was, lol
-
Oh, and do you need to download a big script do you mean? or download individual pieces?
-
Is it only for XP?
-
Its basically a complete game engine for XP.
-
oh, thnx for trying to help though!
-
so, does anyone know any good stuff about RPG maker VX pokemon game making?
-
I have a friend who made a cool capture enemy tutorial, if you need it. There's a demo in one of my posts later on in the thread. Here's the link (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,42372.0.html). But I'm afraid that's all I know of. But I'm afraid it may be easier for XP users to make a Pokemon-like game, with Gracie's awesome link (+rep to Gracie). ;8
Or if you want just click here (http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,42372.msg505443.html#msg505443) and that's a shortcut to the demo post.

thnx!
