Title: Roph: Online Gaming Child Board
Post by: Irock on October 25, 2007, 01:15:15 AM
Well, this has really been on my mind for some time now. The Video Games forum is a pretty active forum, and one of my favorites. But I don't see much online gaming going on. (Tournaments, Username/friend code sharing, etc) But maybe if there was an Online Gaming child board, there would be more of it. People could game with each other, maybe have tournaments, make friends for MMOs, form clans and whatnot. It would all be so great. It all seems worthy of it's own forum.

I think it sounds dumb, aside the Metin topic  there haven't really been any online game topics here recently, and I don't see how making a child board would encourage people to post topics like "Plz help defiit lvl80 dragon in WoW".
Having a forum for something WOULD encourage members to post in it. I guarantee that if the Bean Bags forum hadn't been made, 30 threads seeking social help wouldn't have been made in a little over a month. They could have always posted them in community, but it isn't directly aimed at social help. The forum is aimed at all-around socialization. It's the same for Video Games. It isn't aimed at online gaming, it's aimed at all-around gaming.

I believe if there were an Online Gaming forum, RMRK would be more inclined to create threads when they want to play someone online.

I think this is a very good idea. I don't play online games, but I know there are millions who do. The pure marketability of this type of board makes it a win.

We will definitely benefit from making an Online Gaming Board.
And probably those new members will become active members ;D

Too bad I don't play any MMORPG anymore now. :D

I think he became mute...  Or is hiding from something/someone.  Or maybe he doesn't have the time to post.  Who knows...

Edit:  It was a joke, by the way...

I know he got a job.  >.>  I just don't think it is normal that he can't even come for a second and let us know he's fine.  But assume he is very, very tired.  So it's okay.  Let's hope he is well and will come back soon.  :D

He quit his job?  He told me he got a job.  He even told me for who he was working.  Heh.  It would be really sad if he quit.  I guess all we can do is wait for him to come back.  To be honest, I am worried.  He has been a good friend.

LMAO, whoever Willy Wonka is...  The company's name is not that, though.  But that is his life, so let us not reveal that information unless he agrees.
