I don't know if this problem will be able to have an answer, but here I go.
When I open RMXP, there is no problems. I can create a game with perfect ease and no problems. I have the fully registered version, but every time I go to play test my game it gets me to the first menu, but when i start a new game, it freezes after loading the map. The events that are running don't do anything, except the sounds work. The BGS works, and that's in an event (a waterfall sound), and it takes a little while for the BGM to start up. Even after it does, the events and the main character won't move.
I don't understand why, but if I need to uninstall and reinstall it, I could try that. I'm curious to see if anyone would have any ideas before I resort to that procedure.

do you have an event on that starting map that is set to auto run?

Oh. I didn't realize i forgot to close off one of my events. Thank you very much for that. It fixed my problem.
