Lufia - The Final War

300 years have passed since the battle of Maxim and the Sinistral.
His descendant's have fought the same scourge every hundred years or so.
Now, the last in his line stands up and realises his heritage.
He goes on rage of studies to find out as much as he can about the Sinistrals
His words are:
       "Everytime they are defeated, yet Erim arrives in some form...
  But if she died, how is she revived, especially since she is the Mistress of Death?"
The young master realises that every hundred years, something or someone revives the Sinistrals, and he realises that this must be his fate as well...
So he begins his journey where it all started...

Valus embarks on a quest to discover as much as he can about the Sinistrals, but he gets caught up in something much, much worse...

A mysterious girl the hero comes across on his journey in Northland. Her life is put at risk by an onslaught of the neighbouring country, but the hero saves her life. She requests to follow him but he refuses. As he leaves the devastated town, she asks why he is travelling during dangerous times. He tells her and she asks whether she can help. She is very knowledgable with details about the Sinistrals.

Renan....22 male
A soldier the hero meets in a kingdom under attack by the Sinistrals. The hero helps and the king requests that Renan follows him on his journey. Having a mysterious nature, no one knows much about Renan.

An elf found wandering the countryside. Seeing humans, she runs, but falls into a trap made by one of the Sinistral's lackies. After being saved, Mae trusts the hero and joins him on his quest.

Gades....???yrs male
Gades is the Sinistral of Destruction, but he is the weakest of them all. After his last battle with Dean, (Lufia: The Legend Returns) Gades is much more powerful and destructive, and has no intentions of letting anyone live. The Hero first meets Gades in an unexpected place...

Amon is the Sinistral of Chaos. As soon as he revives he starts unleashing terror among the world. The Hero meets Amon when Mae is taken. Like Gades, Amon has grown even more powerful and his powers have grown greatly. He is a major problem for the Hero...

Erim....???yrs Female
Erim is the Sinistral/Mistress of Death, and it is her that revives the Sinistrals as long as she is alive. The Hero has trouble finding out why the Sinistrals keep returning when Erim is dead, but his questions are answered at a later date...Her seemingly parasitic nature causes confusing and hatred between members of the Hero's party, and causes drifts between them...

Daos is the leader of the four Sinistrals and is by far the most powerful. His physical strength and his magical strength are unmatched and have increased dramatically. Daos is the Sinistral of Terror, and that is exactly what he causes. Daos manipulates the world like Amon, but he is a fierce as ever....

Hopefully this gives you a tad more information on my game. When I get the resources, I'll make a demo and screenies!

This is the basic idea. The image above is the Title Screen I made.
One idea of the game I have in mind is Time Travel. I am thinking of having something happen so that the descendant has to go back in time 300, 200 and 100 years. You are probably getting what I am thinking but I won't say anymore.

When I get character and enemy sprites, tilesets, the battle system and the message system done, I can start the game. Hopefully shortly too, I can't wait!!!!

Actually you don't need the battle system right now. You can work on your game and implement it later, since I don't know when I will have time to make it.

That's what I was going to do. I can make all the spells, items etc before the bs is ready.

Do you need resourses?

Yes I need character sprites, enemy sprites, tilesets, battle backgrounds...they are the main at the moment...Menu system can wait until I get everything else unless someone wants to make one for me.
Anything I forgot is also needed!

Yes.
I only ticked CharSets as I made only one.

...erm this sounds kind of stupid but what are they and what do I do with them. I've never seen .ogg before...

They are music files. These are the BGMs that play during a boss battle and the Sinistral battle. Just put them into your BGM folder.

BTW, you have a lot of .oggs in the BGS folder of the RTP (or was it the SE folder...? ... or both...?).

Do you think I should have the hero and his gang travel worldwide or just Eastland? I'm thinking more Eastland now since the other lands have already been done. I could possibly have a tiny part of some towns from other continents but not too much. What do you think? Also, can anyone tell me whether Gratze survived at the end of Lufia - The Ruins of Lore? I'm thinking of having them build replica Sinistrals that are robots for a sequence in the game...

Lufia & the Fortress of Doom (First, only released in America and Japan but never came here to Australia, not sure about other countries SNES)

Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals (Second, telling the story of Maxim from the opening sequence in Lufia 1 SNES)

Lufia The Legend Returns (Third following a descendant, Dean (I think.) Up to 9 characters can participate in one fight on this! GBC)

Lufia the Ruins of Lore (Newest and worst one, 20 years after Lufia 2)
There was going to be Lufia Ruins Chasers on PSX or Gameboy Colour that was going to tie up the whole story with the Sinistrals and AREK...but it was cancelled.  :'( :'(

I have only played the first two. =/

Fourth isn't so good, leads away from the Sinistral story line. 
Third is more interesting and has an Ancient Cave that goes down 200 Floors! (Apparantly Iris from Lufia 2 waits at the bottom)
More in depth storyline. Ending is a major surprise, but can be expected from playing all in the series.

I've made it down to floor 99 in Lufia 2. I doubt that Iris is waiting, she's Erim after all.

I defeated the jelly in Lufia 2 and got the Ancient Key and the last Iris Treasure! YAH! I was so relieved when I bet it! Many people say that Iris waits in Lufia 3, apparantly she says something about Arek?
