Actually has good games like Super Meat Boy and Cave Story + if you pay more than the average
-
Already own SMB and Bit Trip Runner, which is all I'm really interested in in the bundle. Already have Cave Story as well obviously, because it's free.
I still bought the bundle and paid above the average, though.
Edit: Yeah dawg I know CS+ is an updated version but it doesn't really change much.
-
It's got some additional game modes, but it's better unchanged. I bought it when it was released because I think he deserves it.
I got the bundle though, Jamestown is fantastic.
-
Humble Bundle used to be this special thing that you waited for, but now there's a new one every 2 weeks.
-
I agree that the novelty has really worn off. A few months ago I was buying every bundle I could just because I could. Now I barely even bother, unless it has something I really want.
-
Why complain when you get all these neat games for good prices ^_^
-
I know, right, who wants to donate to charity more than once a year? Lame.
-
Oh, I'm not complaining. I'm about to purchase this one as well, even though I have most of the games already. My issue isn't really the Humble Bundle in particular, just the concept of bundles in general. Aside from this one, there's also active bundles up on http://indieroyale.com and http://indiegala.com as well. It's starting to become commonplace, and I agree with Holk in that respect.
edit: oh, and this http://www.getgamesgo.com/little-big-bunch

That's what happens with everything successful though.
I don't think it's any less awesome than it was when it was less frequent. I don't mind that every couple of months I have the chance to spend a few dollars for upwards of four games, lol.
-
I buy them all, too. I'm just saying. Its not the same anymore. Especially since Indie Royale has also become a bi-weekly thing.
-
Considering how little I can get away with paying, I am not complaining.

I agree it doesn't 'feel' the same. It used to be like a holiday. Now it's just a great deal/exposure/charity. No intrinsic value was lost, but I agree it doesn't have the same whimsical feeling to it.

I bet this is how hipsters feel when one of their favorite bands becomes mainstream.

It doesn't feel the same now that it happens so often, but I think the pros far outweigh the cons. We get more good dealz, indie game developers get more exposure and that charity organization I know nothing about gets more money.
I've still never played Super Meat Boy because I've never had any money when I wanted to play it, so maybe if I can scavenge up less money, I can get all these games.
