Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: dragonmagna on February 01, 2006, 12:25:38 AM
American Show. Hilarious. Talk about it.
My favorite episode was when he was arguing with himself about superman.
"Bow down to Zod" "NO!"
Man, that was a lot more funny than I just made it seem.

Lol, I'd never expected that name to be on here.
Yeah it is pretty funny because he acts like an idiot.

Steven Colbert is afraid of nothing............ Except for bears. And that's just sensible. We should all go to his show on the same day.

He looked up his name, and then he started searching for porn.

Post by: ArkBennett on February 03, 2006, 02:36:48 AM
Lol, that's funny.
I saw one where he was like,

"Ok, let me pay my bills first guys."
"Hmmm... My social security number."

And he started saying it, although I'm sure it's not his.

Yeah, that was really funny. And then some guy called about 5 minutes later into the show asking for Colbert's mother's maiden name or whatever because he wanted to try it out. Funny, stuff, man. Didn't know this show got so much attention.

What i really like about both shows(colbert report, and daily show) is that although they are comedy shows, they're actually the best news source we got.If you pay attention,a lot of the stuff they make fun about is real.

Oh yeah. It's becomeing the most poular news show in the Blue states. Soon the most popluar news show in America.

I agree with Mark,
It's more helpful than your average news show.
Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: Inaru on February 08, 2006, 02:28:23 AM
That's really just because of what the average big news company does. The Colbert Report is trying to look past the facts, and add a spin to it. CNN just gives you the news. That's it.

I watch both the daily show and colbert report every day, so thats my source of news. Also agreeing with mark, those 2 shows are funny, interesting, and "educational."
If school was like these TV shows, then school would be fun. :^^:

I like the Colbert Report a little better than the Daily Show. It's just
Stephen Colbert isn't afraid to say anything.

Well, Jon Stuart is what I would describe as "Kinder" because sometimes Colbert is a little mean, but hes funnier.

So as soon as someone says

"This is becoming a spam topic"

THEN IT ACTUALLY DOES BECOME A SPAM TOPIC?!

Geez. You can't say "the conversation is going off topic" and then bring it a lot farther off topic than it already is. Thats what leads to topics getting locked and ridiculously boring.

I am actually not posting as much because school is back in full swing. Right now I'm just trying to become a moderator by doing moderator things, like saying topics are spammish. Plus, we don't talk about much here anymore.

As sweet as I would like to pretend that was, I'm not flattered.

The Colbert Report is getting better every episode, with things like "Better Know A District"

434 parts with 1 every week. 8_* <-Zombie face
Do you think the show will even be on long enough to finish that?

I did the math. 48 districts a year. Meaning it would be done in about 9 years. I would be like 26 or something. Doubt I'll still be watching that show for the next 9 years.
Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: Inaru on March 10, 2006, 12:08:09 AM
The point is they're not gonna finish. It's part of the joke.
Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: dragonmagna on March 13, 2006, 01:03:03 AM
I figured that out on my own. Just seeing what its like.

But I always wonder, why is the district "The battlin' [district number]!"?
Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: Inaru on March 13, 2006, 01:13:37 AM
Somthimes it's the fightin 3rd district. That's making fun of army regiments. Example: Before they were knoew as Vadar's Fist, the elite regiment of CLones were known as the fightin 501st.
Title: Colbert Report!
Post by: dragonmagna on March 14, 2006, 12:27:28 AM
Yeah, but I've yet to see him name a district w/0 saying
"The fighting eigth!"(how do you spell 8th?)
Or
"The fighting third!"
or whatever.
