It is Generation Century 60 the world is at peace after the first mobile suit was created
the Protecterate is now creating mobile suits for civilian purposes but the military started to use them for there purposes. In a deser complex in egypt something has gone amiss a new experimental mobile suit called GUNDAM has been hijacked by an unknown source Souta Tsurumi has to find out, he is the pilot of the second gundam unit Generation Gundam.
he finds out its not a human piloting the gundam...

First of all... the story is somewhat cliched. And I doubt you have the skill to make the mobile suit graphics.

First of all the story is very solid yet and i haven't spent much time building it up the story
second im not using graphics im using Super Robot Wars j sprites for the battlers
third i have been working on this for aobut 2 months but i've had almost zero help until now

well its been going for about 2-3 months now but i did have to restart after my comp got wiped for upgrading and i forgot to back it up the only thing i need help with is names skills and coding for the gamplay.

Well you should really know about it Its an Mech MMORPG coming out this fall it hasn't been decided if its p2p
and its fully customizable kinda like Armored Core when i first saw the gamplay it looked like Raycrash (another MMMoprg)
from behind only alot better it look ownage.

The acronyms are a little...whack, but I think it's pretty good! And you would most likely need a script...

You can make it animated -

There is a little wait in between each image switch.

Use this info as a basis for what you want, I'm sure you can figure it out.

Okay Hey everyone ill have some progress tomorrow about 4:00 - 5:00 if anyone would like to help i need mappers wrighters people to help me cause im basicly on my own.

Well, I could try to write stuff at school, but you'll need to tell me how the game is going to be played out. Is it a "select a mission, choice affects storyline" kinda deal, or is it a linear sort of plot? And how much (if at all) character development will you require?

Well i would like to do the choices affect the storyline but as of right now im new to rpgmaker xp function wise i basicly need help with the intro and cinematics.


And the story is basicly there are 2 test gundams the first one is hijacked by Virus a program made by the military to control and unifie all systems and programs something an error in its programing to make self aware goes haywire and starts to learn that it doesn't have to be used for purpose it was created. It also learns that the Protecterate were once at war with the Confederate Forces and starts to wage war on them and then the Confederates blam the P.R.O.N.C for destroying one of there military bases. the main character's is above here ill do a bio for him

Now THAT sounds fun! It may have been done before, but writing stuff for that kind of character is a BLAST!! Count me in, I'll write whenever I can!

The First enemie will be an one armed Gundam UNit one because it was not completed. because unit one changes into what is know as virus gundam i dont know what it should look like.

Hmmm...Well, how about I try to daw it tommorrow? I can't guarantee it'll be high quality, but it should get the point across.

Does the script work for you?

EDIT : Just to let you know, "%" basicly divides one number, then returns the remainder without going into decimals, it's cool.

EX:

4 % 5 = 4

5 % 5 = 0

7 % 5 = 2

So the following (just an example)

@sprite_index = (@sprite_index + 1) % 6

Would loop back to zero every time the sprite index reaches 6.

That´s sweet if you have a circularry repeating array.

In the Legend of Dragoon, they ad a timed combo system, like in Super Mario RPG. Maybe do that?

I was organally gonna change it to super robot wars battle system but... you would have to code all that crap and have all the animations

Fantastic sprite, by the way. If you like I can sprite the occaisonal weapon or two, but don't expect an endless supply.

they not really that hard once you figure our what you want to do
(and if it can be done through the events that come with ur version of RPG Maker)

Just trust me i hate every aspect the best i can do right now is party changes and monster contacts

yo some new updates a sprite im working on today it will be one of virus's attacks

If you ever need a color edit, I can do those within a few seconds.

EDIT: Here's an example. Recoloring was a snap, but the head took longer. I also did some stuff to improve some of the symmetry, and I added the shoulder decals (which are an awesome addition to the design, btw.)

Well thats a problem i've resently started with the mapping and story shit like that but mostly the changes are weapons,sprites and names and stuff but for new years im gonna release a demo of the first level/area vs the first boss.

Hey Venom, I'm a HUGE Gundam Wing and Gundam SEED fan, can't wait for a final product. if you need a tester give me a shout, I check my PMs/E-mails etc almost daily so I'm easy to reach

This looks pretty nice, actually. My only qualms are that the name/stats/whatever in battle are far removed from the sprite, and also the Battle backgrounds dont match, but that is easy to fix as any image can be imported as a bbg.

lol the backgrounds were suppose to be the first thing to change there just the orignals from rpgmaker xp as for the sprite stuff im need a new script for positions.

Update: I have an Announcement i will be continuing it as of this friday and more rpg related im adding up to 16 new suits in as playable i will be holding a poll later this week to see the what the names will be  there will be 15 polls containing names of different suits. also the last suit that will be playable is i know its a little conceded  Venom Gundam.

Why do you put a game designer down like that? There's no exuse for it. He/she is trying hard, and deserves props to even be taking up a challenge like this.  Yes, it does take a skilled person in order to do this, but I'm sure this member can accomplish the goal. xD


Good luck with your project, it looks pretty solid so far, but it will be hard. I'm starting on my project as well, hope you finish it soon.

If you make this game Ill be happy to test it for you. I think its funny what people can say when they first see it. A unfinished story doesn't mean your going to fail. Maybe you will fail and mayb you wont.
