Title: Final Fantasy - Looking for composer, artist and script/event guru. (RM2K3)
Post by: ZemusEX on March 19, 2008, 12:47:13 AM
Hi folks! :)
I've been working on an FF-fan project on and off for about three years now, and it's starting to really take shape now. I've got enough content for a nifty little demo to be released very soon, it's just a matter of minor tweaking and mental balance to become steady enough to feel that a release is appropriate.

But, before I start developing it much further from the little longer than demo-length it is now, I want to tweak its features to perfection. And this made me realise that I'd need some help along the road to make it better, because going solo on a big a project like this will probably have me lose interest gradually, which I don't want.

So, I'm looking for these positions to be filled;

That's about it, I hope it was elaborate enough. If you want to see some samples from the game, there's a trailer at my YouTube that shows of some of the RPG. Although it is only a few weeks old, the design for the town has changed a little, and will change further. ;8

Thanks for the offer, but it's not what I'm looking for. I know of many good vg-midi sites, but what I'm looking for is original music, completly fresh.

  • Highest Priority - Composer. I'd very much like this space to be filled by someone who can compose songs in a SNES-y atmosphere, that is, have the songs sound like they were from a SNES/16 bit-game. If you're good at composing and can do so with soundfonts and stuff that sound SNES'y, you're my God. Or well, you'd certainly save me from ever growing tired of this project.

I can do this. That is, if you're willing to let me go at my own pace. From time to time I'll get really busy and won't be able to work on this, but I'm good at playing catch-up so there will be times where I'll get a lot of work done. Send me a PM with details if you're interested.

I also know how to do a Steal command, although in 2k3 it turns out a little lame because there is no animation for the battler. Not that I've figured out. I could probably do a decent Mug command though.

That sounds perfectly fine to me, great offer.
I'm off working on other projects occasionally and such, so I don't always work on this anyhow.
I'll send you a PM as soon as I can. :)

@Nightwolf: Well, since HaloOfTheSun offered to help me with the steal command, maybe you know how to make a Jump command like the one Kain uses in Final Fantasy IV?
Also, sometime in the far future, I might need a character changing-screen for certain parts, so if you know how to do that, I'd certainly like to know. :)

Oh, okay. Well, it sounds somewhat interesting, but it's not what I'm looking for, sorry.

But thanks for the offers. :)
