Title: Invalid Color Depth?
Post by: ChronoTriggerFTW on April 19, 2008, 02:47:36 PM
I tried to upload some Kingdom Hearts: CoM sprites and when i clicked upload, it came up with an error "Invalid Color Depth" Problem. If so, how to fix it. Thanks in advance.

You have to make sure that you edit your sprite sheet to 265 color bit. To do this, open your Kingdom Hearts sprite sheets (One at a time) in a paint document. Once you do that save it again; and make sure you go to the option before saving that says "Save as Type". 265 color bit is a choice, select it. Then save it as that file. Notice some colors may change but its alright. Then open the 256 color bit version of your sprite sheet into your game. Btw, make sure you put a color that isn't in any of your sprites  as the background in your sprite sheet. Or else all your sprites will be screwed up if there isn't. So yea select your background color when up loading and it should be working.  ;)

Or you can use a program besides MS Paint, like Photoshop, and change it to a .PNG file. Those work too.
