Title: Cooking system
Post by: Rukishou on February 19, 2007, 07:27:52 PM
Hi! I'm thinking about a cooking system where the player gets his/hers ingredients and then get to a kitchen or something (maybe a stove for good meals that helps a lot and stuff and maybe a regular fire to just grill some hot dogs or hamburgers ;D) and use the ingredients and cook something.

Requirements of the cooking system:
• Use the right ingredients to cook the right thing!
• Able to advance in cooking levels!
• Bigger chance of cooking being succesful when higher cooking level!
• Recipe has got to be learned before able to cook meal!
• More possible cooking options when in a big kitchen than when just over a lame fire in the woods!
• If you got any other ideas and suggestions - please leave a reply or send me an PM!

Thanks for all yer help!

I know a scripter can do it. It would use alot of variables and conditional branches.

And that reminds me of Runescape.....back in the day.

I did my crafting system with events, but I think using a scripted one has a cleaner interface and it is easier to set everything up.

Yeah, good stuff and all ... it's jsut that I'm not that good with scripts and therefor I don't know how to change it so taht it would be correct with the fact that I want to make a COOKING SYSTEM!
