Post by: iceflame1019 on July 24, 2007, 05:37:09 PM: Well, seeing how there's a thread for Your Most Awesome Video Game Moment, I thought I'd give people a bit of a chance to rant about their Worst or Most Frustrating Video Game Moment(s) (or worst video game if it comes down to that).

I'll start it off:

--My friend killing me every single time I respawn at my team's last held base in Star Wars Battlefront.

--Not being able to find health and then getting constantly knocked backwards by Lizalfos into lava without a Deku Shield in LOZ: Ocarina of Time

--Going with my my friend against a team of two lvl 9 Foxes in SSBM, with Bobombs being the only item other than food and Pokeballs (my friend's request.... >:{ I always keep bobombs off...those things are annoying)

It counts. It's game frustration. I might as well add, on that note:

Getting very excited about (FINALLY) getting a platinum gamecube, only to have to wait three weeks before my favorite game (SSBM) is in stock again at the local EBGames. Hurt to look at the cube and not be able to play it. TORTURE like starvation, especially when your friend is coming back from a year of not seeing him and you wanna train to finally kick his ass in a game.

Post by: Moss. on July 25, 2007, 02:35:57 AM: In God of War II, when you're beneath the world with Atlas, you have to turn this crank to raise a floating metal circular platform, while a ton of enemies fall down and annoy you.

The enemies aren't the annoying part. The annoying part is that once it's raised, for some reason, Kratos REPEATEDLY refused to jump PROPERLY to the next platform, thus plummeting me to the fiery depths, and forcing me to ONCE AGAIN kill all those enemies and raise the platform.

I must have had to do it, like, 5 or 6 times. Ugh.

Bongo Bongo was harder than the water temple, but the shadow temple was easier than the water temple.

fighting Meta Ridley's ground form in Metroid Prime. The boost ball cheat works perfectly in getting to his ground form sooner, but if he gets down to about ten percent of his health he rams you all over the place and you can't shoot at all...I almost killed him with the Wave Buster but I ran outta missles... I hate it when a mini-boss is far more difficult than the final boss; Meta Ridley's a B***H to kill.

True, he's the easiest when you have almost every single Missile upgrade and the Wavebuster. So long as you don't run out of missiles. If you have enough he can't touch you in his ground form; just zap him.

I got him in like five minutes, wasted all of my missiles on him, then moved to plasma beam.

@SJR-YES, WW was great because of the graphics, side quests, all the open land. I mean it was so cool how there was just islands for you to explore and such.

going to the Forest temple with a semi-broken controller and getting killed three times in a row by that gay Moblin with the club...couldn't dodge him properly. May not seem like much but DAM was that frustrating!

Or the time the other guy somehow made two bases and pwned me with his second one after i destroyed the first one...

You could just go play and of the mega-man battle network games (or whatever they're called) and get almost the same experience.

It got it today. Its alot like battle network in a sense. The battle system is watered down, but other then that the game is fun. I recomend this if you like battle network.

Well, right around the time you find out how they stole the Matrixs plot with the whole program bs.
You are on this desert planet.

For some reason there was some difficulty jump so I was killed in a matter of seconds.
I was so unsuspecting...
After 2-3 hours of training, and sucking monster dick so they would spare Fayt and friends pathetic lives.
I managed to get past that sandy hellhole, and went through that portal to the "real" world.
Next thing I know, I'm lunged into battle against 8 guys that fire multiple rounds dealing some Hp damage.
Doesn't sound bad right? Well for some sick reason, Tri-Ace decided that if you run out of MP your character dies also.
Those fuckers did 50 Mp damage a pop, and I only had 600-700 mp.
Plus, the attacks stun you.

Stun Attack, Mulitple Rounds, and only 600 Hp Mp.
It earned me a hole in the wall. I kinda accidentally hit it harder than I thought, I didn't even mean to hit it. :lol:
My mom has yet to find it, I had a LoZ:OoT poster covering it, but after several years of aging it started to get old.
Lucky me, I have a Silent Hill 4 poster. :D
Got any bright ideas on how to close that up without ever having to mention this to my parents? ???

My newest moment that's getting to be a constant: not being able to see worth crap in my Zelda collector's disk because the PCI card in my computer displays the game at a low brightness, making everything darker and MUCH harder to see because everything in dark places turns completely black.

I got mine from AverMedia (via TigerDirect.com) After some system issues and a long-delayed upgrade to service pack 2 the card finally worked. THAT was frustrating, it took almost a month to find out what was wrong. Now I can record videos if I so choose... :P but the video screens are only the size of my palm...that in tandem with aforementioned drak screen makes it very hard to play.

There were like six groups before I got to safe ground, almost halfway across the map.

Me and my friend were taking on the spider boss (the area where you get natalia) Since the game was on the hardest mode, all our (my friend was playing Guy, I was natalia to keep people alive) attacks were doing 1 damage each swing. After 3 whole hours of me casting reraise on everyone and trying to keep enough TP to make sure I can heal, and dodging negative gate countless times.... the boss was finally down to 400 HP! We were getting so close but some how we slipped up... me (as natalia still) and my friend (as Guy) were the only ones left alive because I couldn't hit fast enough to keep my TP up. We were both in critical health and with out thinking we crossed paths while it casted negative gate... we both got hit... we both died.... game over...

Then we just mana burned it with Jade since magic only has elemental resistance :P and that only took 1 hour lol.

Another moment was on chrono trigger where you fight those two things in that one place (yeah I know very descriptive lol) its those two monsters that when that die that use that Bio move that hurts your team. ( I believe the place was that underwater palace where Zeal is, not the floating one where you fight her later) Well, I killed one but when I killed the other one it's Bio move killed my whole team so I got to see a game over screen where there were no monster left but everyone was dead -_-

those are the only two I can think of...
