i all ready ask it but i didnt got the right answer for it i delete my first topic
and on this one i hope i will got an better answer
ween i finish my game i can sell it even ! (even)
if i copy resurses and scripts from others ?
i hpoe i will have the answer .
but for now my answer is yes if the reesurses dont have (c)
and if (eb !) are ok with this
im hope my answer is right if not waht is right to do ?

Even if you may technically be able to sell it, unless it is insanely awesome no one will buy it. And of course, you can only sell it if you've payed for the legal version of RPGmaker XP.

and isent there any way to downlaod a crack ro some thing but use it
as a legal program

I believe silverline has a keygen for the legal version. Still, you'd be using it illegally and so the rights wouldn't really apply. =*

A keygen does not make it legal. Unless you have made a team that created scripts and resources for you, you'll probably have to pay royalties. Unless otherwise stated by the coder or spriter.

And if you do use a keygen, and Enterbrain finds out you never bought RMXP, they WILL sue you, which may land you in jail and you'll lose most of the money you made from your game.

lets say you dont want to sell your games-just make games for your own personal use-could they still find out you used a key gen if your not actively trying to sell games you created? is there some kind of tracker or program that monitors downloads/purchased ratio.....i mean not that i used a key gen or anything-LOL :P

they won't care as long as your not making money off the software

I'm not sure if they can track down a cracked version. But if you're going to earn money with your game, just pay the 60$. It should be nothing in comparison to what you earn if your game is really good.

Why has this topic gone any longer than... 4 posts? This will end it:
1. Buy the legal version of RPG Maker, or you can't sell it. End of story. Enterbrain has had no problem in the past shutting down sites with illegal versions of RPG Maker up for download (Or at the very least made them remove it), so it would be no shock they'd sue you if you don't own the rights.
2. If you DO have the a PURCHASED legal copy of it, you have to get permission from anyone's resources you use, and, of course, you can't use any from commercial games. (i.e. NO Final Fantasy sprites, music, etc.)
3. Expect to not sell a single copy of your game unless you REALLY know what you're doing. From the gist of your posts, I'd say there must be tons of grammatical and spelling errors in your game, unless you yourself didn't do that part.

They have better things to do than track down the thousands of people who downloaded their program illegally. They aren't stupid, they know it happens. Before the English translated versions were released, they didn't care about that anyway. And as far as a cracked version, I'm fairly sure all they could do is get it removed from wherever it's being put up for download.
