How do you use chipsets in game maker.
-
You break them into pieces, or import them as a background, check use as tileset, and define the size of each tile.
-
where is this check box or whatever.
And I think it's really cool how fast you repsond. Your a great help.

This is what is looks like when I load a background.

I'm not seeing the disconnect? ???
Unless you are having trouble defining the tile sizes. Do that in the room editor.

In the file menu at the top... Click it, and there is an entry called 'Advanced Mode', make sure that is checked.
It hides certain options within GM when advanced mode is off, which may be why it looks different.

^_^ thanks that was it.

i've never used chip sets before...i tried it.
my guy kept falling through the floor!(chip set floor that is)
so...how do i make them solid? thanks
-
You'll have to make an object for the solid spots. Make a black sprite, non-transparent, that is the same size as one tile. Use this as the gourn object's sprite. Place it everywhere you need the ground.
(You have to do a BIT more, but start with that. I'll explain better when I get home.)
