Greetings, from Galveston, TX!
My family decided to have a major vacation for the first time in years, so we rented out a beach home. We're right across the street from the beach and have a piece of it in our back yard! I love the Gulf of Mexico...the water is warm and clean with just the right amount of wind to stir up some rad waves.

I'm sitting on the back porch right now with my laptop because I don't wanna go inside. :gracie:

That's cool though. It would be a lot of fun to live there and have a boat. Does that connect to the ocean?

Oops, we're on Galveston Island, in a little place called Jamaica Beach (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Jamaica+Beach,+TX+77554/@29.1893569,-94.9805232,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x863f841031812a97:0xd8dfc07249c1f679) (but not the real Jamaica :(). The beach we're near is on the Gulf of Mexico. :-)
Ooohh apparently the backyard is an inter coastal water way. For some reason, I thought it connected with the gulf.

The house right next to us has a little boat and we see the neighbors driving them around all the time. It's soo rad! :gracie:
We've done a lot of crab trapping and fishing off of the back porch, too. So far we've caught several large blue crabs, lots of little fishies, a barracuda (wut), a shrimp, and a catfish.
