Eternal Grace Episode 1 for 64 bit computer is Now Available! Now the 64 bit computer owner can also dive into the world of Enthrea. To try the 64 bit version, you can simply went to:

http://eternal-grace.com/p/buy-now.html

and choose the download for 64 bit version. There is no significant difference between the 32 and 64 bit version of Eternal Grace Episode 1.

Thank you very much with your opinions,
We hope you enjoy it.

You're charging people for an RPGMaker game?
Really?

That is - exactly - what I was thinking.
I didn't get Aveyond, I'm not getting this.

Aveyond was a pile of crap. I played the trial, not worth the money.

Seriously, its good, but I will NEVER pay money for an RPGMaker game.

I checked out the trial. There's some significant issues with grammar in the dialogue and some of it feels really stiff. The gameplay is fun though and the characters are interesting enough. I especially loved the menus. All of them were gorgeous. The mini-game (Hexabattle) as well. These were brilliant.

As far as charging is concerned; all of what I saw was original. As long as you haven't used anything without permission (specifically commercial-use permission) and you're not going to charge $20 or more then I see no issues.

Aveyond was terrible for a number of reasons, it was unpolished, used copyrighted material, boring as hell and unoriginal. Not to mention, expecting more than most indie developers charge for something made in a hobbyist program is ridiculous. I can go grab most indie games for under $10 and those are completely original, programmed entirely by the developers - much more work is put into them. The biggest reason that I disliked Aveyond, however, was the feeling of a mass-produced product. It didn't feel like a game.

This does.

Price it reasonably and I know at least I'd pay for it. =)

@Dyre:
Thank you for your opinions, we appreciate it very much.

We are from Indonesia and we apologize for our grammars, may be we can fix it up in the future projects (episode 2)

We charge only $4.90 for this game, I hope it's not too high for an RPG Maker game, since I see in many other websites that some RPG Maker Games have price as high as $9.90-$19.90

Thanks...

I personally would never pay for an RMXP game. Nothing against the creator of it, but it is not something I would ever deem worthy of spending money on. That's why I made my own registry file for this one. Much cheaper that way.

@jasprelao -

You're welcome. =)

That is a very reasonable price. Hopefully there are others willing to pay for it.

I noticed the interview made no mention of the program used to create the game. From the interview it looks as though your team is taking credit for everything - which is a bit misleading. Even if all of your resources are original - it was still made in the engine created by Enterbrain.

Was this merely an oversight or is your team claiming to have created this game entirely from scratch?

First of all, we are apologize for the misleading here.
We are never claiming that our game is made from the scratch.

The interview itself we have credits Enterbrain as the game engine, but they only want to know the work rate of each people here. So they didn't write about the engine. But I always said, even in the website that we made the game with RPG Maker XP and we credits every people who has the scripts that we adapt into our game.

Check this out: http://www.eternal-grace.com/p/credits.html

I hope it can clear this problem,

Thanks...

I was betting more on the oversight. Makes sense the interviewer would want less information on the engine, more on the developers, as it seems the site is trying to push indie development. Specifically Indonesian. Which is fine and all, but there's an agenda so there will be half-truths.

Still, you guys did excellent work with the engine. =)

Just played this game's trial. Aside from the slow pacing here and there and the grammar/spelling errors. The game actually feels professional and great! Good job you guys :D

@Dyre:
Thank you for your understanding,
I'll try to contact the interviewer, may be they want to type the RPG Maker XP from Enterbrain as the Engine.

@Nessiah:
Thanks, arch... nice to meet you here ;)

@Dyre:
Please check the interview once more, Joyverter has revised something there, they agreed to type RPG Maker XP from Enterbrain as the engine, since we are know that should be written there.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks...

I didn't expect you to have them change it. ><

Well, now people who read it will know there's a chance they can make such games with it too. So that's good..

Like Nessiah said, the game's opening is a little slow paced, which bugs me, but I guess that applies to most modern RPG's (cough Persona cough).

Otherwise, it looks like a great game. Can't wait to finish Ep 1.

It still has a few minor grammar errors in it. You should look in to it if you want people to purchase the game.

Now as for it being a commercial game and made in RPG Maker XP I don't see an issue with this. After all even big companies like Level 5 use 3rd party software (not saying they use RMXP/VX/Game Maker), and that's all RMXP is, is a 3rd party software. However, I personally wouldn't sell a game because even encrypted games can be decrypted and take or look at how you did it.

I suggest continuing and if you do make any profit upgrade to something a little more professional like like Torque Game Builder (C++/C#). An indie license is only $99 (USD).
