what script do u use to make that opening scene?None.
While I was saving the file, computer froze with the blue screen. After I restarted it, the whole data folder's files were corrupted. I have a backup file but it's not up to date, so I basically lost about 8 hours of work. It'll take a bit of time to get back to where I was, but I'll be back to that point soon. In the mean time, I appologize for the delay.
(laughs at the firey sword of world destruction)Wow, surprised you actually found that :P
"and it really isn't as bad as the screenshots seem when you actually walk around in it to feel the connectivity"but the screenshots don't look bad to start with :tpg:
I <3 you're mapping so much. Very nice work.
Heheh, I'm getting more of a hang to it now. Also learning more about interior mapping and editing from good samples such as MV.

Thanks!Aye. I mix and match various tile sets to create the look I want. I've sprited my own pictures to hang on walls but they look like crap because I'm not too good at making custom graphics...yet...
To be honest, I found that the best way to make a map look good is to literally edit the tilesets when you see something you want to do or when something doesn't fit, or mix up several tilesets when the situation allows. A lot of flexibility that way, and new things are always refreshing. I am not really as good of a mapper as some of the pros here, but editing tilesets give me a lot of flexibility and makes it look refreshing. :)
Edit:Always and forever I shall have Winrar installed on my PC. I just haven't updated it in a year? Assuming it receives updates of course.
@Shinami-
Eh, that's strange, the CBS dl .rar has been working for me and others. ??? You are using WINRAR right?

Trulu a great RPG in terms of professianal. This is could almost be compared to Dark Eternal...though, Dark Eternal has fighting in the beginning.Mm, if you mean on-map fighting, there are some in the beginning as well. However if you mean game-play battle, there won't be any until Chapter 3; as Quintessence was originally intended to be a story-only project. However, the battle system is 100% original and created from scratch with events, so I hope to make up with that.
...
And here's a short crappy comic strip I drew regarding the battle system:
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv385%2FReivier%2FComicFinalv2.jpg&hash=1ec25df80f58c617961ac22e99c68c68a7927e63)
...
I just love the battle system... It's nice seeing hack/slash sometimes in an RPG instead of the turn based stuff Shocked I've heard that this is done through eventing? And I've also heard that there are scripts... @.@ It's so confusing...I did use scripts for the game, but not for the battle system. Everything you see in the battle system, from the gradient bars to battle intro animation to the actual combating, is purely 100% eventing. :) (edit: oh, minus the caterpillar system)
Ultimately I guess this isn't really a "game"-game. Thanks for the pointers, I do definitely understand where they are coming from; but if you are looking for game-play, this simply isn't something for ya, heheh. :) The entire game is basically a semi-interactive cut-scene, so it's irrelevant to deal with its length, to be honest.
Ah, I actually do agree with you with the size; but I received a lot more criticism before on it being too small, so I'll probably just stick with this for now. Well, might reduce it a little still, but might not have time to edit it for this upcoming release. Much thanks for the suggestion none the less! :)
P.S.
A lovely fanart of Lunair by Arwym Starlight! :>

The battle system is so hard to control.
Otherwise, this is like God. In the form of an RMXP game.
And ah, thank you for the heads up, Yuki.No problem, I also found that the far left house has an issue the grass to the right right next to the edge of the hill allows you to walk onto the hill from the side going left. Sorry if I'm making this more like a game testing job but just trying to help you out a bit :D

@Andrew:
Ooh I see; my screen was rather dim and it didn't come through. Will fix that up, thanks for the heads up.
