Hiya everyone, as sopme of you have noticed, I am sometimes really active while some other times I'm not on for a week. The reason is cause my internet on my laptop is stuffed, does anyone know the correct way tp set up the wireless router?  There's currently 3 plugs on the back of it.

First is the power

Second is a white one which is attatched to the back on the modem thingy

and third is a blue one which is currently attatched to the back of the computer somewhere.

So is anything wrong with it?
Thanks for reading, i'll check up here next time I go on the net again.

P.S what the hell is a Proxy Server and a DNS?!

What do you mean stuffed -_-

A proxy server is what some ISPs put you through, it means you're not connected directly to the internet, rather when you go to load a page, a remote server loads it and then sends it back to you.

A DNS server is a Doman Name Server. When you type a domain name in (say, rmrk.net), your computer will look up the domain in a DNS to get the correct IP adress to go to~

hmm..Im not the techy person, but most of this I get it....

Ok, what I ment by stuffed is it works for a second or so then disconnects. I do a MSN check and it says those two things have a problem and I hade no idea what the hell it was. Last time the same thing happened and it ends up a cord was unplugged/loose. I was just wondering how on earth do I fix it.

it changed from low to good and sometimes goes a bit up if I drag my notebook closer to my sisters room. But usally it isn't a problem.
