Today is Jason Loverock’s 173,956th cigarette. He takes his cigarette, places it on his lips, pulls, inhales, and finally exhales.
This has been the routine for about three years now on this very day, November the 16th. The first smoke was always in the morning before jumping on the bus to go to school, that was always the best smoke. The next smokes were scattered throughout the day, lunch, after school, so on and so fourth.
But on this particular day, John was sitting on a certain bench at this one park located somewhere in some city. John cleared his throat and spit a slab of phlegm. Disgusting. John got this feeling, the urge to quit smoking. The goodness that came from smoking suddenly disappeared.
After reading all those warnings, watching all those commercials, and after feeling like crap, John finally tosses his smoke on the floor. This was the day, the day to quit. Its now or never. John had a great big smile on his face.
He tried to quit before but with no luck. John searched on the internet for ways to quit and even tried and couple of them; like smoking five cartons of smokes in one day. Sure he was sick, but if anything it made him more addicted. Not to mention it was bad times for ol’ John what with shaking from the high levels of nicotine. The hurting lungs or major heart burn didn’t help either.
But that was last week, and now its today. John started walking across as he pulled out his pack of cigarettes from his pocket, stared it down at it and read the warning... The last warning he will ever read...
He started to read the words “Warning...,”
just as he got hit by a bus.

*I wrote this when I tried quitting smoking for the 3rd time. But I might get hit by a bus soon sooooo*
