Introduction
Tiimu Footoresu 2 is a fan game dedicated to
Team Fortress 2 and created with
RPG Maker VX . In case you don't know Team Fortress 2, it's a team-bases multiplayer shooter for PC. The game takes place in the an alternate reality Earth in the 1960's. Two rivaling organizations called Reliable Excavation Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU) are fighting at places where a base from each organization is just a few steps away from each other. Both organizations hires a team of mercenaries (the nine classes) to solve their differences.
Sounds totally bananas for you? That's the whole point. Without a real story, the players can concentrate on he gameplay and on the clases itself.
You may not know this, but the game has a crazy cult following. Due to the classes stereotypical, yet ingenious personalities, the fans have created a lot of videos, comics, websites and even a 2d version of it.
Check out this list and see for yourself , it contains over 300 entries. This game can be combined with everything, period...
...and that's where this fan game comes in.
The game has a simple concept: The characters from Team Fortress 2 are being confronted with other crazy stuff. At the beginning of the game, the characters enter a RPG world with swords and magic (Japanese RPG-related part - hence the wannabe Japanese title of the game). This also justifies the combat system and all.
But that's not all. Aside from the RPG part, other games will make an appearance as well, although not as obvious as one might think. So don't panic, we won't simply use graphics from other games. But expect some characters to be playable though.
Story
#Please note that even though this is a fan game, it's not required to know all these games per se. The game explains the important parts so you understand what's going on here and what the character's background stories are. Even so, the information is kept to a minimum. This way, people who are familiar with a game won't mind the short explanation, while others can get the most out of the crossover story#
An evil scientist has found a way to open portals to other dimensions. He uses these portals to gain access to powerful weapons and artifacts from other dimensions. These portals, however, cause interdimensional disturbances, opening random portals in all dimensions.
As a result of these interdimensional disturbances, the characters from Team Fortress 2 are being teleported to a RPG-esque world with swords and magic. They try to find a way back to their own world, fighting their way through a lot of problems in the process.
They eventually find other persons from other dimensions. They join forces with them and eventually find out about the evil scientist. They start an assault on his laboratory to retrieve the portal device. Little did they know, things were only gonna get worse.
Characters
Original Characters Team Fortress 2 Characters Spoiler for :
Scout (Picture )The youngest of eight boys from the south side of Boston, the Scout learned early how to problem solve with his fists. With seven older brothers on his side, fights tended to end before the runt of the litter could maneuver into punching distance, so the Scout trained himself to run. He ran everywhere, all the time, until he could beat his pack of mad dog siblings to the fray. Soldier (Picture )Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected from every branch of the U.S. military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949. Pyro (Picture )Only two things are known for sure about the mysterious Pyro: he sets things on fire and he doesn't speak. In fact, only the part about setting things on fire is undisputed. Some believe his occasional rasping wheeze may be an attempt to communicate through a mouth obstructed by a filter and attached to lungs ravaged by constant exposure to his asbestos lined suit. Either way, he's a fearsome, inscrutable on-fire Frankenstein of a man. If he even is a man. Demoman (Picture )A fierce temper, a fascination with all things explosive, and a terrible plan to kill the Loch Ness Monster cost the six year old Demoman his original set of adoptive parents. Later, at the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans near Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands, the boy's bomb-making skills improved dramatically. His disposition and total number of intact eyeballs, however, did not. Word of his proficiency with explosives spread, and it was not long before Crypt Grammar received two visitors: Demoman's real parents, who lovingly explained that all Demomen are abandoned at birth until their skills manifest themselves, a longstanding, cruel, and wholly unnecessary tradition among the Highland Demolition Men. His unhappy childhood had ended. But his training had just begun. Heavy (Picture )Like a hibernating bear, the Heavy appears to be a gentle giant. Also like a bear, confusing his deliberate, sleepy demeanor with gentleness will get you ripped limb from limb. Though he speaks simply and moves with an economy of energy that's often confused with napping, the Heavy isn't dumb, he's not your big friend, and he generally wishes you'd just shut up before he has to make you shut up. Engineer (Picture )This amiable, soft-spoken good ol' boy from tiny Bee Cave, Texas loves barbecue, guns, and higher education. Natural curiosity, ten years as a roughneck in the west Texas oilfields, and eleven hard science PhDs have trained him to design, build and repair a variety of deadly contraptions. Medic (Picture )What he lacks in compassion for the sick, respect for human dignity, and any sort of verifiable formal training in medicine, the Medic more than makes up for with a bottomless supply of giant needles and a trembling enthusiasm for plunging them into exposed flesh. Raised in Stuttgart, Germany during an era when the Hippocratic oath had been downgraded to an optional Hippocratic suggestion, the Medic considers healing a generally unintended side effect of satisfying his own morbid curiosity. I'm sorry for the sometimes bad sound quality and the slight lag. I don't have a big enough harddrive or strong enough CPU to handle high-quality recording and decoding.
