Are you getting an error concerning 'msvcr71.dll'? If so, you can simply do a search of your computer for that file, as it is highly likely that you already have a copy on your hard drive.
If you're getting another error, I would suggest browsing through your Graphics, Data and Audio folder for any random files. I once got a run-time error when I temporarily placed an *.rgss2a file in the Graphics directory. The problem was resolved when I moved the file somewhere else.
