Well a friend of mine did something like this to a song he hated and so I thought that sounds like fun... it sure is.
Started these in Term 3 of last year and now have four of them (time consuming) and they each vary a decent amount (in order of creation - below):
The APL Song - originally by the Black Eyed Peas I've forever despised this song and thought it was a good start, features a few samples from Grape Nut Beats / song focuses a lot on stuttering and screaming... -
http://www.sendspace.com/file/9uefswHe Drinks Tequila, She Talks Dirty In Spanish - featuring a scream that is rather famous in stuff that I've ever created... features a few samples from Full Sunken Breaks / song focuses on glitch, sweeps and wave 'drops', oh and a horrifying scream! -
http://www.sendspace.com/file/m9ourxMake Your Own Kind of Music - rather ambient (edited the end of HDT, STDIS to compensate) but stutters violently to amazing white noise, I ended it quickly for god-knows-what reason considering I liked it -
http://www.sendspace.com/file/k4i6siSpace Walk - now I like this song but it had to be done, another ambient one with a ridiculously long ending -
http://www.sendspace.com/file/3gwjy6I may make more, but I don't think I'll top my first four made.
Please comment on the weirdness!
EDIT
----
Distorto - a somewhat original compiled of all of Vol 1 Irockman samples and two from his second volume , very distorted hence the name, features more of my original samples which are proving to be made for this type of thing... -
