RMRK Features a donation system whereby members can contribute money to help with running RMRK.
RMRK's Expenses
RMRK currently costs approximately 650 GBP (or $1,200-1,300) to operate annually, most of which being servers and the rest being miscellaneous things like domain registration and misc. licences. Almost all of this is currently paid by Roph, the remainder being covered mostly by revenue from the advertisements shown to guests and finally donations from members.
How to donate?
You can use the button below to donate via PayPal. This is currently the only way to donate to RMRK. You don't need a PayPal account to donate to RMRK. Be sure to include your exact RMRK username in the "Notes" field over at PayPal, unless you want to donate anonymously (or aren't a member!). If you would like your donation amount to be included in the above list, also say so in the notes!
If you forgot to include your username when donating, your donation will appear as from anonymous. If you'd like that fixed, PM Roph and include the details PayPal will have sent you.
What's a good amount?
Anything! Though due to a cut PayPal takes from the donation for themselves, donating less than $3 isn't recommended.
Perks from Donating?
RMRK gives full privileges to all members and does not limit things that would otherwise be limited and only available to donators, such as PM inbox size, forum access or special powers such as locking your own topics. Unfortunately this provides less of an incentive to donate. You do however get a bright purple username along with a snazzy badge, as well as having your name permanently honoured on this page, though!
