What about Avian? At least I think that's what it was called. It was a RPG XP game that looked like a RPG 2003 game. It ripped off NES and SNES sprites / tilesets and used RTP stuff. Sold for $20. In fact I've seen it sold in boxes at Walmart (beats me why).
I review RPG Maker Games. If you want me to review yours PM me. If you want to read my reviews, check out the review forum.

The sprites and tilesets in Aveyond were 100% custom IIRC
Working on world of sorrow again.

Oh no they weren't. There were a few RTP sprites, like the weird chickens. The jungles were stolen tilesets from SNES or NES games. However, this is the wrong place to argue about this. There is a review of Aveyond in the reviews section that we can carry on this discussion :-)

I'm thinking about making a Maia 2K8. Back with Maia 2K3, there were game chapters, I did 1-3, and no one ever completed the first. Maia 2K8 would start from the 3rd chapter.

I've had other games over the year that I've done and I'm doing, but they're getting to be too big of projects. Screenplays that span 120 pages. I just want to basket weave. You know, quests here, quests there. So I have something to show for my work at the end of the day.

Wow thanks for checking this out.

Someone wrote me recently saying that he had played 9 hours into it.

As for RPG VX. I am currently tinkering around with it. I'd be more interested in making Dragon Warrior or Final Fantasy Legends than a whole new game.

VX was born to make old school games. I spent the day making basically a Maia system for VX, but that is for another topic.

How did you like Maia 2K7?
