Cards on a trainer's page now show the pokemon's number.
When viewing seen pokemon, a pokemon that the trainer didn't catch is greyed out.
When viewing owned pokemon, if the trainer has multiple of the same pokemon then they're consolidated and a little pokeball count is shown instead.

A trainer's info card now links back to their RMRK profile too  :)

A pokeball and PC now appear on all pages (if you're a trainer, at least), which take you to your own trainer page and a settings page respectively.

Also what you see in the picture above are a different trainer picture, and a pokemon next to the trainer. These options can be picked at your PC  ;8

Both areas expand when you use them. White represents your current setting. There's also now a default page, which for now just lists recent trainer activity. The RMRK pokemon logo also now links back to it.

Also setup similar GBA box styled themed tooltips for some things. Later on, perhaps these can be used to show various bits of info on pokemon =o

As always, if things look a little odd then please ctrl+F5 to make your browser grab new files :)

Admin system implemented, allows recognised users to gift pokemon.

Full pokemon-wipe done, now pokemon rarity is implemented. More zubats, less celebis. Some pokemon cannot appear at all.

For any encounter, the pokemon has a small (currently 5%) chance to be shiny. Shiny pokemon have their capture chance locked at 95%, to avoid rage-quitting.

Various statistics, currently unused, are now collected. Which pokemon is owned by which trainers, totals of encounters and captures, things like this.

Cooldown system mostly complete, was not enabled for this update. TDS is a dick, cooldown / capture blocking system is now top priority. After which, pokemon deletion. Which will be tested on TDS.

2014-02-22 again
Cooldown implemented. It creates a rolling capture percentage that gets closer and closer back to the default (90%) the longer and longer ago your last capture was, fully wearing off after 8 hours.

Trying to catch another pokemon within a minute or two of capturing your last one is nigh on impossible. The ending exclamation mark of "pokemon escaped!" is in brackets if your capture chance was affected by cooldown.

Pokemon status pages are up and running. When viewing a trainer's pokemon, each pokemon can be clicked to show how many times that pokemon has been seen / captured and who currently owns it, for both normal and shiny variants. For example, here's haunter.

Pokemon ownership is now the default view on a trainer's profile.

The Sightings view on a trainer's profile now shows shiny pokemon they've encountered.

The release pokemon UI is finished, but currently the actual releasing is disabled as it needs more work. You'll see an empty/open pokeball on your trainer profile which will take you to the releasing pokemon screen.

Users (and admins) can now release pokemon. TDS will find a bunch of his pokemon missing soon enough, essentially undoing his pre-cooldown spamming.

The main page now shows aggregate statistics of the total number of trainers, encounters and catches of pokemon.

The main page also shows many more trainers :)

A pokemon's information page now shows the pokemon's current chance to appear (any suggestions about chance changes should go in the chance thread).

The PC Page now has an extra update button outside of the form, next to each form's title. This makes submitting your selection much easier. Doesn't work in IE; it doesn't support HTML5 form attributes.

Added badges to a trainer's page. These are based on the trainer's current information. At the moment, only the number of unique pokemon they've caught.

The main page now lists your friends at the bottom. If you want it to be more useful, make use of the buddy list on the forums :)

More badges added. Now automatically shown for the number of different pokemon you've seen, and also for if you have seen and/or caught a shiny pokemon. As RMRK7 isn't the default yet, most people have the last two  :ma:

Also a new logo made by Acolyte, who got a shiny for her troubles. :gracie:

If you own any shiny pokemon, you can now select them as your favourite :gracie:

Also added a little footer that links both back to this board and the RMRK index.

A modern-game style ground texture is now shown underneath a trainer and their pokemon :)

Two new features on the pokemon pages. First, every pokemon has its own animated picture sitting ontop of the selector. And the selector now has an intelligent find-as-you-type autocomplete so you can easily find the pokemon you want by name or number.  :zwink:

A huge update has landed :blizj:

Versions are now implemented. This is analogous to the red/blue, gold/silver and so on versions of the games. All trainers will have a version assigned to them automatically from their next encounter, and from then on will be unable to catch pokemon of the opposite version. So for example, I can encounter sandshrew but I'll never see an ekans.

You can see what version a trainer is aligned to on their profile. The same goes for versioned pokemon:

Also worth noting is that now a link to the bulbapedia article for every pokemon is now shown. Also, generation 3 pokemon are now available! Also, the chance of a pokemon being shiny has again been lowered, now it is 1% down from 2%.

Trading is now finally available too! Open a trade with another user from their profile with the new trade icon:

You will only see this icon if the user in question has you on their buddy list. All users also have a new option in their PC that will allow any other trainer to trade with them:

Trading itself is pretty simplified, though expect a help topic about it to show up soon. Here's how the trade center appears:

And how the trading interface looks:

Known bug: Trading re-uses the capturing function and thus triggers cooldown, fix incoming :malson2:

A few various changes over a couple of days.

Now there are animated versions of the standard sprites that are used in three cases: For showing a trainer's favourite pokemon, in the homepage trainer list, and on a pokemon's info page.

Speaking of pokemon info pages, they'll now give you BBCode to paste on the forums if you want to link a user there. Mostly useful for trade posts.

And speaking of trading, the trading UI will soon link to IRC. I'll also calculate an average rarity or score or something like that to help you better judge the "value" of a trade offer.

The list page is more or less up and running, though for now it won't be linked to from anywhere. Needs some more tweaking I think.

Trainer pages no longer use AJAX to load in the different lists of pokemon. Instead, they're all loaded in at once. Maybe a little bit heavier on browsers, especially for users who cumulatively have 4 figure numbers of pokemon listed, but whatever. It's fast enough on my little tablet. This also means you can now link directly to a section of your profile via the big buttons. For example, I can link you directly to my pokedex with: http://rmrk.net/pokemon/?trainer=273#dex. This also of course means that each section loads/appears instantly.

Other changes to trainer pages are that if the trainer has a favourite pokemon selected, a large original artwork of that pokemon is placed in the background of the page. There is also another icon down at the bottom of the trainer box - the compare icon.

This takes you to a list that shows only pokemon that at least one of you owns, and tells you how many of each (and/or shiny) you both own.

Trading has also seen some updates. A PokeNav now links to RMRK's IRC channel from the trade page, and a special trade offer score is generated. This score is based on the rarity, version exclusivity and shininess of each pokemon to try and give a cold machine-based estimate of the value of that trade offering. You can just use it as a ballpark figure if you're not sure of the value of your trade.

Trading has also been simplified further, with less interstitial pages following various steps / submissions.

Pokemon info pages (which also have those large art backgrounds) now also give you named images for use in trading posts or elsewhere. The URLs from these also include the pokemon's name as a bit of cruft on the end. This makes creating and especially updating your trading posts much easier.

Users will also see a pokedoll sitting in the footer. Clicking this takes them to a help page which explains RMRKMon in a simplified manner.

Generation 4 pokemon are now available. All the way up to #493 :yuyu:

When encountering pokemon, the sprites are now animated. They also sit on one of 18 base/ground images that reflects their type / appearance.

Also, under the pokemon's name you see three icons. These icons change depending on if you have seen, you currently own, or you have a pokedex entry for that pokemon.

The PC's expanding forms for favourite pokemon & trainer picture are now just normal scroll boxes. Also, the PC will give you various BBCodes for use on the forums, mostly self explanatory. The special image links given here will always show your current trainer pic or fave. Set once and forget. The duplicate pokemon list contains only duplicate pokemon. So if you owned 10 of a pokemon, the list would contain 9 of them.

The comparison page now also shows pokedex status for both parties.

There were some duplicate trainer pictures, these have been replaced with retro ones :)

Might as well make these posts monthly ;8

Pokemon's types and evolution paths are now acknowledged in RMRKMon. Clicking a type will also show you all pokemon that have that type, either main or secondary:

The type search also shows whether or not you've seen, you own, or you have a dex entry for each poke.

Trainers can also now choose 5 additional favourite pokemon, to make up a virtual team of 6 along with their main fave.

The cooldown on catching remains the same, but now you can not encounter a pokemon until 30 minutes have passed from your last capture. Mainly to avoid frustration. And from 30 minutes to 1 hour, you are half as likely to encounter. This is designed to drive home the point that this is a minigame, don't take it too seriously :drsword:

The badges have been redone, and many more have been added. Badges based on tallies only show the highest one earned instead of appearing cumulatively now too.

The following pokemon now have a 2% encounter rate, whereas previously they had 0%:

(Phione is now 10%, due to its only semi-legendary status as offspring of Manaphy)

Next up is a BBCode generator for making lists to post on the forums. The generator also provides a code along with the list that is hidden when pasted into a post. This code can be pasted back into the generator to then edit the list.

It's worth noting at this point that in many instances where pokemon graphics are shown in RMRKMon, now a CSS Sprite method is being used instead. One example is on the BBCode generator. This page lists every single pokemon twice over (normal + shiny). Instead of loading in 1,440 images, all the pokemon are shown using only 6 images and 1MB of data. As a bonus, in cases where CSS Sprite images are being used inside a "card", hovering over the card will switch to the animated sprite.

Also new is a filter box that appears with potentially large lists of pokemon (still being added to some areas). This find as you type box shows only pokemon that match or partially match what you enter. If it makes sense, you can also type a ! to show only shiny pokemon (viewing an inventory, for example).
