[Writing] Volcanic Armageddon Plotline

Here is the story:

Area 1: Small Village --- A party is dispatched from the king to investigate a madman's prophecy that the world will end in 30 days. There is some merrit, because he is the one that set it all into motion a hundreds of years ago. The team is sent to a small village that he lives, only to discover that he has climbed a nearby mountain to watch the world end.

Area 2: Beautiful Mountain --- At the top of the mountain, the madman will tell the party that he is from a race that when they die they are reborn as newborns over and over again. When he dies, he is reborn with all of the knowledge from his previous life. After 100 lifetimes, he has the magical power to do anything he wants. Now he wants to die, but because he can't die forever, the only way out is to destroy the world.

Seven lifetimes ago he stole the egg of a diety and a demon couple. As time went on and lifetimes went by, he hid the egg in a nearby volcano to incubate it. The egg will hatch and set off a volcanic explosion that will cover the land in lava and the ash will block off the sun, killing everything in the world, including himself. This is his way out of constant living.

He of course tells the heroes how they can stop armageddon from happening. Why? Because he either changed his mind and can't stop it himself, or he wants to be entertained by heroes that save their world from destruction. This would also set up multiple games with him causing trouble over millions of years :-)

Area 3: The City --- When the party tries to report to the king, the castle is under quarrantine. They are recommended to visit a nearby city until the quarrantine is over. At the nearby city there is a beast that has been harassing the city. There is no help from the king's army or the king who is quarrantine.

Area 4: The Beast Cave --- Inside of a cave to the north is a beast and the heroes slay it. Wow...

Area 5: The Farm Village --- The mayor of the city thanks them, and perhaps they could help a local village find a child that went missing. The child hunts ghosts in his free time. He went out with his dog, but only the dog returned!

Area 6: The Ghost Cave --- So as it turns out, there are not ghosts in this cave, but rather bandits that pose as ghosts to keep their hideout safe from treasure hunters. The boy found them, so they kept him instead of killing him. The female leader of the bandits is no child killer.

Area 7: The King's Castle --- The quarrantine is over, the heroes report on what the madman said. The heroes tell the king that the madman told them in order to destroy the incubating egg, they would need the SWORD OF POWER! The king knows who has the sword of power. He is the commander of the fortress to the east, but no one has heard from the fortress in weeks. Perhaps they are quarrantined as well.

Area 8: The Fortress --- The heroes find that everyone in the fortress is asleep! Put under by a spell. They find a strange man there and chase after him!

Area 9: The Port Town --- After following the strange man to the south, they discover he is a local medicine man. He ran because the party chased after him! The man thought they were invaders that were there to conquer the fortress. The medicine man was there to wake them up, but he doesn't have the ingreedients to make the wake potions.

Area 10: The Tunnel --- To the west is a tunnel to get to a shrine.

Area 11: Taleric Shrine --- Inside of a shrine is a man who is willing to barter for the ingreedients that the medicine man needs. Once the party gets the ingreedients, they return to the medicine man, he makes the potions enough to revive everyone in the fortress. The heroes are given the SWORD OF POWER from the commander for his appreciation.

Area 12: The Fishing Village --- The heroes visit a fishing village, because they need to speak with someone on an island. This person on the island is a guide that can lead them up the volcano to where the egg is. Once the heroes show a fisherman the SWORD OF POWER, the fisherman loans his boat to the party. Why does he loan them the boat? If the commander of the king's army trusts them with his sword, then the fisherman can trust the party with his boat!

Area 13: The Lighthouse --- At the top of a lighthouse is a scepter that generates light.

Area 14: The Ruins --- In the decaying ruins of an island castle is the guide that will grant them access into the heart of the volcano. The only way to enter the ruins is with the scepter from the lighthouse. The guide is special, because she has magic that will keep the party from being incinerated by the volcano when they enter. The heroes soon find the guide with one catch, she is DEAD!

Area 15: The Shrine --- Inside of an isolated shrine is a wizard who was bannished for necromancy. In this kingdom, ressurection os FORBIDDEN. When players in the heroes party get defeated, they are "knocked out," instead of DEAD. The heroes take the bones of the guide to the wizard and the wizard brings her back to life.

Area 16: The Volcano --- With the guide's magical power to generate bubbles around the party, she leads them into the volcano. She is the only mortal to have ever returned alive from the volcano. The heroes destroy the egg only to watch it hatch. Once they kill the beast inside and prevent the erruption, that is when mama diety and daddy demon find the heroes destroying their only child.
