hes stupid. theres stuff from probably a PDA version of Age of Empires II in there, which isnt a problem but he says theres nothing from commercial games in it...im not saying the tileset is bad...ok...ill just shut up now ^^

great deatail was put into this only problem is that as soon as someoneenters atown the detail will be different or not match maybe its just a thought

You want "Inq's World Map Tileset".

Any ideas for ways to brighten up this tile set a bit.  I'd like it to match the other stuff a bit more.  Posssibly turn the brightness up and then up the contrast and saturation.

I'll play with it.  But otherwise, it's friggin awesome.

Actually, decrease contrast, I think.

Those are really some nice tile-sets. I might use them sooner or later, probably in the sequel of my RPG.

Upping the contrast made the colors more distinct, I'll have to make a little side by side of the two in comparison.

Seems fine but a little to dull. A brighter one would be better.

I can answer that (the site is not Inq's, so you may wish to correct that, but he is a member of staff)- I'm webmaster there. Basically we've been updating the system that we were using on the Palace so there have been some errors. The link on the first post should work now but, if it doesn't, go to http://www.rpg-palace.com and click the link on the right.

Ok it should work now. Sadly I've had to take down the individual towns page for now, but many are still available in the tileset zip.

it might take a while for it to take effect for everyone...mine is still giving me a forbidden message but I can wait for it to take effect.

Perhaps- myself and a random tester are working so I don't know.

I can testify for anyone who is skeptical that this is the absolute best world map tileset.

I am using it for Crystal Collection and it will be the only set needed. It covers plains, snow, mountains and desert. Plus it layers the ocean so that you get shallows and deeps.

I would HIGHLY recommend this tileset.

As for passablility, only set it as you need it. I guaruntee that unless your making some Uber MMORPG, your not going to use every single tile.

Obviously water and mountains are 'X' but things like buildings and trees you can leave as 'O' because you never know when you will need to walk over something.

Thanks to this tileset, PhanxGames might finally be forced to take down stuff that isn't theirs. That can only be a good thing given their history.

Uhh. Problem.

This world maps looks great, but I have a problem with it. I can do Layer One just fine and all that great stuff, but when I click onto Layer 2, I can't see my foundation on Layer 1...

So.. yeah.

Try disabling dim other layers in one of the drop down menus.

oh crap, I posted this a while back. I fixed it, but I have another problem. When I put things like cities on the second or third layer, it covers up everything else on the second and third.

If there a way to make water within land? For example, in my rpg, there's an oasis in a desert, but the water tiles don't blend smoothly.

actually i am using it in one of my games =P
guess i should test before rating someting next time, but if the cut offs werent as bad it wuld be 10/10
but for now its 9/10. its too easy to make maps with it   
the autotiles are 9.8/10, the mountain sticks out a tin bit but im still usin it. and the map in the keboard is good too

ps (any mistakes in the spelling is my keyboard buggering up, i recently got ridof a huge virus and i need to get the computer restored, the virus is gone but the keyboaerd is still buggerig up)

I meant, that you have an item, like maybe a map, and you can use it to view the world map and your current location, just a bit like in the pokemon games..
