Panorama Tutorials For XP And 2003
This tutorial will explain panoramas, and how to use them.

Rpg Maker XP
Spoiler for:
RPG Maker XP offers a panorama system. A panorama is an image that's displayed in the background. This makes your maps look more realistic.

Let's get started.
Right here we have a map of a bridge crossing a cliff. It isn't very interesting right now. Just some grass in the background.

We're going to use the white tile, located in the top left hand corner of every tilesset, once imported, and place the tile where we want our panorama to be.

By default, the mountain tileset has a mountain background for its panorama. Pretty isn't it? That's a panorama.

If you want to select the panorama, we will have to make an event. Go to Map Settings located on the second Event Command List page.

You'll get this screen, right here.

The area labeled 1 is your list of panoramas. This will define which panorama to use. 2 is the color. You can play around with that, but I suggest you use the default color.

Your Event page should look like this. Make sure it's on paralell process, unless you're making a special event.

If you did it right. Your map will look something like this. (I selected the star panorama)

RPG Maker 2003
Spoiler for:
RPG Maker 2003 offers something called parallax Background, which is the same thing as a panorama. A panorama is an image that's displayed in the background. This makes your maps look more realistic.

Lets start off by placing the pink tile, located in the bottom right hand corner of each tileset, on the first layer. Place this where you want your panorama to be.

Under Map Settings, you can select what kind of panorama you want, and how it should scroll.
The area labeled 1 is the button you press to select which panorama you want to use. The area labeled 2 will allow you to select how the panorama scrolls, if at all.

Your map should look like this, depending on which panorama you have chosen.

You can also change the panorama by eventing. On page 3 of the event command list, select change parallax background.

You'll get a screen simalar to the one you were showed.

Well, that's all. i hope you enjoyed my tutorials.
