Maybe he's saying Biohazard but they changed it in the subtitles to Resident Evil for us.

Fuck yeah. Out of all the pre-4 'classic' series, 2 was always the best. It'll be great to get it completely redone in HD. This is what the REmake was to Resident Evil 1.

I just... I don't care about all these remakes. It makes me sad that developers are putting so much effort into re-making their old titles instead of using that time and effort and money to make new games that are as good as their old titles.

Because all that time and effort and money made Resident Evil 6 a masterpiece as good as the old titles (although it was better than 5. And 3 for the most part). Just like all that time and effort and money made Final Fantasy 13 a masterpiece on the same level as old titles.
They could focus on making Resident Evil 7 (which they may already be doing anyway), or they could take a classic game that is sorely in need of an update to make it even better than what it was.
It's also not as if they just randomly decide to do these remakes. There has to be a demand for it, and RE2 and FF7 have had some of the highest demand for remakes for more than 10 years now. If people are asking for a remake over a new entry in the series, that's kind of a hint that maybe the newest games aren't exactly the level of quality people are expecting.
That doesn't mean you have to like it or that you're wrong for wanting new games instead of remakes. It is kind of silly to not have any interest in the remake of a game if it's one you already enjoyed, though.

Man, it sucks that there's so little chance of Final Fantasy 9 ever getting remade.
The game already look breddy gud on the PS1.

I think it'll happen someday. Nomura said they want to do more remakes after 7. Nothing is official yet, of course, but he wants it to be 5 and 6 next. 8 (for some reason) and 9 are pretty popular, so they'll get around to it eventually. Probably will be after the Playstation 6 is released.

This is Square Enix we're talking about though, so we'll probably have to get remakes of Final Fantasy 1, 2, 4 first, followed by a Super HD Remaster of 10 and 10-2, 13, 13-2, 13-3, and then real remakes of 13, 13-2, 13-3, and then more remakes of 1, 2, and 4, and then remakes of 10 and 10-2. Then they'll probably throw another remake of 3 in there for good measure before they get around to remaking anything that actually deserves it.

Yeah, but it could look good without the massive loading times for battles =P
