Random Before/After battle questions and answers
Jan 15th 2012

Summary
Hello all,

Is there any way to have a random question pulled from a database during combat, where the player has to input the correct answer to the question, each time, in order to attack/use skills/use items etc...? I can do it with a set question but I want the questions to be different each time.If the question is answered incorrectly, the player will miss or be unable to complete their attack. I am using YEM but I can be flexible if what I want is not compatible. I am using the latest version, the one not updated by Yang? himself.

The closest I have found to this is the following script

http://www.rpgmakervx.net/index.php?showto...mp;#entry278516

but that isn't quite what I am looking for.

What I am looking for is:

Character chooses Attack > Question pops up in battle (ex: what do red and blue make?) > player is prompted to input answer > player answers correctly (purple) and they hit with all the standard stats for that enemy (ie it may miss if the enemy has high evade etc)

or

attack > question (red+blue) > answer input (ex: green) > incorrect answer and the character automatically misses

I'd want anywhere from 100 to 1000 questions (you can imagine it would get repetitive otherwise as it is happening during every action.

Any help you can give would be great and is extremely appreciated. I have no programming experience but I'm trying to learn. This is really the only thing hindering progress on my game at the moment.

Thanks again!
