If you somehow have never heard of the Game in a Week contest before, have no fear yet. The rules are very simple; contestants are given EXACTLY one week to create a game using RPG Maker, similar to NaNoWriMo but with game creation instead and with a much shorter time limit. In the past, we've had times where people have submitted pieces of crap as their finished product, while others had submitted orgasmically good games that could replace your need for food. Once the week is up and the games are submitted, the finished projects are then scored by a panel of judges to determine the best of them based on ingenuity, playability, entertainment, and polish. When all is said and done, the winning game creator takes the medal while the losers hide in shame.
