Okay so i have started work on a fan game called Jade cocoon 2.1 Riketz, The game follows riketz and his journey to becoming the chosen one of darkness, First screen is my phase 1 battle screen currentley. Screens below are an example of using a black cocoon to merge monsters. Basically every single monster is programed into a choice branch of what to merge with, at the end of each bar there is the option of more, to merge different minons... this could result in lots of work on my part but itl be worth it lol, The beginer selection is to merge base monsters, the novice is for mereged monsters, adept (not shown) for complicated merging, and the master will allow for skins and posture adds 2... bare with me on the last 2 lol, Please excuse the charaset for riketz as i hadnt drawn it yet :)

A few things to note:
The bed in your hut recovers HP
You can catch monsters when their hp is at 40% or less
you can add more party members to the menu when you are in the hut
so if the black cocoons telling you its not working then the minion you are trying
to merge might still be in reserve
In forests you have only 1 party member
you can change the party member at any
time by using the summon comand: a: in battle
                                                    b: From the menu
If a minion is killed in battle you will be taken out of that battle back to the forest
next to the attacker with 0 hp .
If Rikets is killed in battle he teleports back to the hut

and i really need help with this:

VX ?, Attack Party, Heal Enemies, YERD_SceneMenuReDux, Mime Skill-Steal Skill, KGC_VariableExpGold, KGC_BattleCount ? VX ?, Deriru's States v2.5, YERD_CustomBattleAction, Yanfly Engine RD - Bestiary + Display Scan, Yanfly Engine - Custom Target Select and YERD_MonsterReappearFix.

Question: I have a main actor in my party, and all of the other actors are monsters he can catch, i have my large party set so only one actor can fight but can switch out at the start of the turn, giving the choices of attack, switchout or run. I need to be able to switch out a monster when it dies and replace it with my main actor without the battle ending an getting the gameover screen, much like jade cocoon. The main guy dying is not an issue as i can event what i want to do when he dies.

Anyways let me know if anyones interested in helping with this game

In the first forest, i notice that the trees are not at all random. First rule of mapping- nature is not square. other than that it looks fine. I've never played jade cocoon so a story would be nice.
Notice that the trees in the red areas only have heads. The trees in the blue area are too square.

Jade cocoon was a lot like pokemon with a major difference it was in 3d, and had a merging system allowing you to merge to monsters together,
The story followed Levant as he battled to save his village from
being swallowed up by the forest, He had to gather keys to progress to the final temple
and then challange 3 elemental bosses and the final boss

and the climatic fight with levant at the end
Iv only finished one forest so far
so it needs lots of work
but the basics are there

I think I'll give this a try, since with the little time long ago that I had played Jade Cocoon it was pretty enjoyable. Let's see how this goes. I'll edit with a bit of feedback.

EDIT: First off, the title screen is bad. The voice work you had at the beginning on the other hand was a nice addition. Though, the opening dialogue was pretty repetitive (example: 'you are nothing but a coward') and sometimes you'd say something using different words that meant the same thing (example: 'you don't deserve to breath' + 'you don't deserve to live'). Also, you should make the teleporting events in the opening activate when you touch them, rather than pressing the action button. Also during combat it'll say You took X amount of damage but then say you evaded the attack, which is strange since you still take the damage anyway. Also I feel that if you were meant to lose to the Dream Man, he should be a bit stronger. When you enter the hut you see these crystals, one allows you to save, these are completely unnecessary because you can save anytime you want. With the second crystal, it asks which monster you want to merge or something, but you give no insight into what exactly that entails and you start with no summons making the list it shows pretty much useless. Also when looking at the summons list you press more to see more but as you press more, eventually you get to a list with more at the bottom but when you pick it you'll exit the selection, you should rename that to 'End' perhaps. (And transfer events should be set to player touch... i know I already said that, but it gets annoying) - And is the combat supposed to be so immensely impossible? Also, when you die which I did a lot you spawn back in a hut without any hp, so if you run into an enemy you instantly die and the cycle starts again. The game gives the player absolutely no sense of direction nor does it tell you what is going on. When/If you continue with this game, try to take into account what someone who hasn't played Jade Cocoon is thinking while they play.

hiromu656: Thanks for the feedback, Yh i know the title screen sucks it'l get better as i progress with the game.. and yeah im aware of the fact that some of the voice work needs changing, Ill change the teleporting event to activate appon touch, the bug you encoutered during combat is strange as i havnt encountered that 1.. ill look into it. And yh he will be i need to give him more attacks. The save crystal will be come the only way to save and yh i will chane the merging crystal to end after the list is finished. And an exlplanaton in when you start using it. No the combat isnt supposed to be imposible thats what the muggwots and the bed in your hut is for. I need some help in balancing the enemies out as im not the greatest with numbers. The game will tell the player where to go this is just a very rough demo... if you would like to help me with it thatd be great :)
