  • I've been on RPG Maker for a while now, and have always had this problem to do with the interior of houses. After making a few rooms and a kitchen and stuff, I always seem to have a bit of empty space, sometimes taking up to a third of the house and quite often near the door. My question is, what do people tend to put into this sort of space? Too many bookshelves and desks is boring if I'm having to do it for nearly every single house I make, so does anyone have any tips as to how to fill in these gaps?
I've got a plan so cunning you could brush your teeth with it.

  • Vary the flooring a little. A carpet in the hallway can make a big difference. If you don't have one yet, get a tileset with curtains to help make the walls look more filled. Look around your house and see what you have on the floor. Shoes near the door? make the table in the kitchen a little bigger? Make an event that walks around the house?

  • Maybe you should make the houses smaller? Small areas make for easier details (:
