Project of the Month

With a new system fully in place that puts the most emphasis on community involvement ever, we have decided the Project of the Month for October. It is:

Fall of the Living: First Outbreak, by ChainsawMelody

What his peers are saying:

Zylos - "the lighting and shadowing are extremely impressive, and coupled with the awesome Kaiser spritework he's done, he's made it a game that's simply visual eye candy. The complex detailed ABS system looks to be feat seen in very few other RPG Maker games. Just from the screenshots alone, I'd say this game is well worth waiting for."

DeathlockBM - "it doesn't limit itself to the fantasy setting, and RTP graphics. Greatly done modern maps, with HK sprites being used its graphically amazing. The ABS is excellent by the looks of it, from the screenshots and the shooting trailer"

modern algebra - "It's nice to see a game which isn't to the same small scale that every other RMXP game is. The fact that everything is scaled with it and still nice is refreshing. Further, the modern tilesets are used extremely well. The weapons in the game are very cool and it's clear that a lot of detail has gone into the battle system in general. I think it is a very promising project."

Vote for your favourite game next month and it might become the next Project of the Month.

New Projects

While it says New Projects, it does not refer to the new projects section itself. Rather, this section is for highlighting new games that came in this month that have met the requirements to be moved into the regular projects board.

Want to Help?

I am looking for anyone interested in writing Community Update, and any Non-RMVX Game Maker News sections of the Newsletter. If you are interested and have a suitable knowledge of any of those areas, please volunteer in this topic and I will select whoever I think is best suited for the job. Also, if you can think of any other section or subsection that you'd like to write and that you think would make sense to be included in the newsletter, then feel free to suggest it.

Why is "et al" at the end of some of the names?

      et al = and others.

Some projects have multiple team members or, in those cases, multiple contributors. It's just a way of abbreviating the by-line, without totally ignoring all of the contributors. If you actually go to the topic, you can see all the people who contributed.
