Updated the online copy just now with the sidebar, soon you'll have an option to show/hide it if you don't want to see it The top and right areas are done, just the main content area I haven't touched now =o

Also, I think that it'd be kind of cool in the sidebar wasn't fixed and had it's own scrollbar. So, if you're scrolling down the page the sidebar still kind of stays with you instead of having to scroll back up to see it. It's not really necessary, but it might be neat.

I like it. And I like the avatar small like that.

The only thing I don't like is how the "view unread posts" link starts next to the avatar, but the "view unread replies" starts under it.

The side bar looks better on the right, imo. If it were on the left, all the post contents would end up waaaay over to the right. OK, not that far, but still weird and too far.

Mmn, I prefer it on the right myself. If it were on the left there would be sidebar, then avatar, then text, so the posts would start like in the middle of the screen.

I prefer the right also. Mainly because I tend to keep my vision on the left side of my monitor, and would rather see posts.

I like the little "rmrk staff" banner in the corner of messages

perhaps instead of a red line at the left side a dark purple or blue one would suffice, as the red kinda doesn't mesh imho

it's a tiny hint. Mods will have a green one, super mods a blue one, admins a red one and donators a gold one =o

I think the "quote" button shouldn't cover the banner. Other than that, it looks awesome.

I noticed something weird. My post says RMRK Staff on it. I thought this might be because of the Mega Mall board, but Chewey and Skanker are in charge of the spam board yet they don't have RMRK Staff banners on their posts. o_O

Edit: Maybe it's because of being a donator?

First I setup the staff thing with the red thing on the left, I was lazy and just copied and pasted for donators, will fix that =o

under 'donations' there's a little split in the Community box

can you make it so the width isn't 100%? I know it stretches, but a max width would be nice. Not many are going to enjoy the banner with a 1800px resolution ;p

I said this in chat, but I think you should keep the stickied post boxes shaded. I liked being able to know what was stickied in my unread replies just by glancing at them. I know about the pin and everything, but I was really fond of the shaded boxes.

Just done the mentioned stuff; stickied topics are seperated and hi(or should I say dark)lighted now.

Also redid the ajax loader (when you edit inline amongst other things).

Tested in IE 7 and 8, Opera 9, Safari 3 and of course Firefox 3 from the perspective of a guest, regular member or admin/mod, found no probems. Tested a little in IE6, I know if you're a guest on IE6 there's a few problems right now, still ironing those out. Some rounded corners are intentionally hidden from some IE versions, it's not a bug, IE just can't handle something so simple as floats correctly. Maybe I'll do an alternate version just for IE later.

If you're not using firefox you'll see a little firefox button under the sidebar :3

The theme auto detects what browser you're on and puts out custom CSS if needed; Opera 8, Opera 9, Safari 3, IE6 (good lord this thing), IE7 and IE8 all needed such special treatment

Now going to edit the display template a bit (template for viewing threads) and make it a bit more like RMRK2's layout (mostly stuff only moderators use) =)

@NAMKCOR: I tried to reproduce that on all the different browsers / text settings and couldn't. I edited the buttons a little to try and protect against that happening anymore for you =s What browser?

And for those who were using RMRK4 before, of course there's the new header =o

Always press CTRL+F5 (hard refresh) before posting any problems to make sure your browser isn't using cached (outdated) CSS or images.

Well, if you click the User heading, then all the guests will be grouped together an all the registered users will be grouped together.

It takes forever to tab over to the username/password boxes if you don't like using a mouse.

Default position set to username box? Like Facebook does?


Not a big deal, really, but I don't like staying logged in (privacy) and sometimes I'm too lazy to use a mouse, so I have to hold tab for like 15 seconds until it gets to the bottom of the page and THEN makes it over to the bar on the right where the login stuff is.
