  • I'm now 3 hours and 30 minutes into the beta playing. I'm now further than I've ever been. Now is a really fun quest. The only thing keeping me from doing it is thinking of quirky stuff to fill up the stores in the town before the quest.

  • I read every post. saw all the screenies, but didnt look at the quest spoiler (i wanna play) and im workin on a small city. it will take me ages but it will be worth it i guess. not too big, not too small (i hope). i might even put in a quest or 2. But so u know, im the king of my city, hows that for putting my name in my work? lol

    so far:
    1x 2 story Inn
    1/3x 3 story watch tower/armory.
    1x shop

    not much... yet.

    I hope this gets bigger than runescape (i wonder...)

  • ummm ok... i tried to download and play ur game but it keeps saying extraction failed. then i try to play and it said failed script or something.
    any chance of putting a .zip or .rar or .7z file up?

    Maybe your download was broken?

    Like instead of being 11.7MB its only 4.3 MB? It happens.

  • Well i tried twice and it was11.7mb both times... anyway, whats the main character? the default 1st character or one u made? i mean what character graphic?

  • This is all using the default graphics of RPG Maker VX. You make and customize the character at the start of the game like Dragon Warrior III or Final Fantasy.

    The 4 characters / actors in the game are the first 4 in the actor listing.

  • Actually, nevermind i got it working! 3rd times definitely the charm.

    ReEdit: umm you might wanna fix a bug... in the first city, where the guy says this is not a shop, u can get in but u cant get out =P

    Double ReEdit: someone should make a guide, like which character in the pub is what class, and what they can become, where to train at what lvl ect.

    Maybe that could be my 2nd contribution after my city is done...

  • The .exe works yep :-) The .zip would only have a .exe in it anyway.

    About your bank, it does not need any code, I already have it defaultly set up along with a slight interest rate.

    There are potions in the game that make scarecrows talk, unless of course your scarecrow naturally talks.



    I just checked the armory and yes that is an error. I have slide doors where you can pick the locks to enter, but you don't need to pick them to exit. I had that door reversed. Those slide doors work well for when you leave the prison you can't get back into the prison.



    As for classes, there is an in game guide that tells you where to go. The Shrine of Destiny. Here are spoilers as to where exactly they are.

    Spoiler for Hiden:
    Class = Undetermined goto Shrine of Destiny to pick a class

    Class = Apprentice goto Tantegal in the south western tower to become Black Mage
    Class = Apprentice goto Tantegal in the south western tower to become White Mage
    Class = Apprentice goto Tantegal in the south western tower to become Herbalist

    Class = Brawler goto New Alefgard pub to become Grappler
    Class = Brawler goto Akarothi inn to become Fighter

    Class = Informist goto Tantegal prison to become Thief
    Class = Informist goto Tantegal center court to become Merchant
    Class = Informist goto New Aliahan east near a cabin to become Hunter



    Those are all of the classes in V.6 that you can become. Then in V.7 you can become:

    Class = Informist goto Kendall Village to become Hunter
    Class = Informist goto Shenagard Castle mall to become Merchant

    Class = Black Mage goto woods northwest of Kendall to become Witch
    Class = Black Mage goto ?i cannot remember? to become Warlock

    Class = White Mage goto shrine west of Time Passage to become Pilgrim

    Class = Herbalist goto woods southeast of Kendall to become Alchemist

    Class = Any goto Magesto in Batroga to become Light Warrior

    And where exactly is this Shrine of Destiny? any chance of a world map? lol
    Does the spook guy ever get any skills? do any of the 3rd recruits have skills? 3 lvl ups yet no skills =P lol

  • The Shrine of Destiny is directly north of the first town / castle. There is a world map. It might be a bit out of date, but it is there.

    Right now the creature characters don't have any equipables or skills. That has been corrected for V.7.

    The human characters should all have skills based on their classes.

  • I don't understand... Is this really truly NON-linear game play? Can I do really what ever I want? I downloaded it and it lags horribly. At least only in HUGE places with tons of events.

  • Where does this lag for you? I've played it on two computers and it doesn't lag. There are not any huge areas quickly into the game. Later on though it does get to huge areas. I am doubling / trippling up on the maps.

    You can do whatever you want. Kill NPCs... as long as they accept your duels. Prepare to face the consiquences like prison time. Revive the bones of NPCs.

    Go on kill the king. Well you need to either wait for the right moment or offend the king enough that he takes you on. You can kill priests and pilgrims, but they must hate you enough to accept the duel.

    You can use keys to get in any doors... just gotta find the keys.

    There is a lot to do in the game. btw I loved your screenshot of that town!

  • UPLOADED VERSION 7

     - Character A can now become a Black Mage like the character is supposed to be able to
     - Creature classes (for monsters) now have skills and things to equip
     - The guards on the dock now stay dead
     - The door to the armory will now let you out, but not let you in (it was the other way around)

     - key system for unlocking doors

    I have now played 7 hours into the game to get where I am.

    too annoying to make

    too much time needed (i have a life that needs time too)

    so i decided it will be a town
    Its finished now but i got a few VERY ANNOYING bugs to fix up.

  • Yeah a city can be 4 towns depending how big the city is.

    What are the annoying bugs? There are things that the game system defaultly fixes like the character graphics and names. The church system is also automatic as well.

  • for a quest, i have it so every time u kill a dragon, a certain variable goes up. i kill 17 dragons (thats how many are needed to be killed) and i go to the guy who gives the quest and it says i havent kill any. i cant find the damn bug any where.

    Problem 2: i go to download the new version, it says 12.1mb till the very end then jumps down to 7.6mb. the extraction fails ect. i dont know what is goin on with that either... and it deleted my save...

  • Going back to 7.6 probably means the download is broken. I just downloaded all 12.1 MB. So it works for me.

    I don't think that it could delete your save when it has not even set up. Anyone else have this mistake?

  • i try to extract the game, it overides the last version, and everything in it, then says extraction failed =P

    i have nothing other than the internet explorer open, and i dont click anything (keyword: ANYTHING) and i leave it alone till its done, and it says 7.6mb in 3 mins or something along those lines...

    Double ReEdit: it finally worked! i sat and wathed the download to see where it buggers up at, and it didnt bugger up.... 12.1mb in 3 minutes 56 seconds.... 54kb/s and i got DSL, WTF!.
